Lets talk religion for a quick sec.

Religion in Wynn.

So what religions do we actually have, and who do they worship?

• Bovemists
• Anti-Bovemists
• Eye Of The Storm
• Misc Religions

So, lets begin.

Bovemists. They obviously worship Salted. We could claim that they just worship cows, but in the church in Selchar, they specifically have salteds head. Wither skulls are also a prominent figure of this religion. Also, in the church in Cinfras, there is an endermen head hidden in the secret library. No idea what that is all about.

Anti-Bovemists worship Peppered (whose ghost actually can be found in the jungle). The anti-bovemists hate the Bovemists.

In the eye of the storm we have these weird guys trying to summon a giant demon or something. IDK I have not gotten there yet. What's up with them anyway?

There are a few other religious references that we see. The temple in the canyon of the lost has wither skulls in it, and it looks like an altar, but has no clear connections with anything.

The King of Ragni cays something along the lines of "I am sure bob is smiling down at you from up there". This confirms the belief in heaven, as well as depicting Bob as a religious figure.

We also have deaths realm, another image of afterlife.

In the dark forest we have wierd cult summoning altar things

Lastly, and I do not know if this counts, we have Dreg. Now in the Quartz mine quest, when you blow up the robot, the guy says "Oh Dreg". Could this be like "Oh God"? Is Dreg a god? Or is it just villager for "Oh F--K"?

Dernel tribe worships the "world tree"

Tribesmen in the canyon area worship Eagle/Owl god(s).

I forgot where I got this from, but I recall that Bovemism was created by Bob's cow companion for protection after he put his power into him. Either that or I just have a very bad memory.

 

No, bovemism obviously worships the great and powerful CoW.

I was gonna go post but I'm gonna make my own thread. First time I've ever been inspired.

 

I remember there being a tree somewhere with a sign that says "Worship the world tree" or something similar.

 

That's the Dernel Tribe.

And so do humans, well they exist now.

They probably came to Gavel to spread their Religion like Jesus

 

Yeah but what I am saying is that if the bovemists are a human religion, it could not spread to Gavel. The door does not open until after the player comes, and mooington's temple existed before that

 

So we have the Bovemists that worship Salted and the cows, the Dernel Tribe that worships their "World Tree", and the Evil Cultists that summoned the Demon God Nagarath or whatever his name was.

Who do the Elves worship?
Who do the Dwarves worship?
Who do the Gnomes worship?
Who do the Doguns worship?

 

Elves worship the light.

But what about the others?

 

Traditionally, dwarves worship gods of the forge, tho no quest yet has had a hint towards dwarven faith. There's only one quest where a gnome speaks, and there's been nothing there worth mentioning. Doguns don't talk, tho it seems they live in old, ruined cities in Molten Heights.

 

there is the altar on top of the door of time, there are a lot of altars around the map.

 

I was not aware about the one on top of the door of time. I want to look into that...

I'd probably say anti-Bovemism, unless it is an unknown cult.

"We also have deaths realm, another image of afterlife." - I think this isn't a cult, just that Death traps souls when they die then forces them to either submit to him or kill the thing which killed them.

And as for a few I came across...

Eagle and Owl Tribes: You meet these in the Troubled Tribesman quest... unless I got those two quests mixed up again. Basically, the one in Rymek, not Dernel.

Mysterious Corruption Cult: In the Craftmas Chaos Quest, this cult goes underneath Selchar and plants the crystal. You think you save Selchar. But then you go to the future with the shard and you find Santa has killed almost everyone. Then you go back to Santa after killing his future self AND GIVE HIM THE SHARD WHICH CORRUPTED HIM. Honestly, we really weren't the hero that time...

Yahya's Cult: A cult worships Yahya east of Detlas. Also, the 'temple' you see when you are high in Shattered Minds sort of references Yahya, since you see his 'Final Form' later in the quest.

Time Cult: We don't see this cult, but there is a strange altar right on top of the Time Door.

There are probably more I've seen but I can't think of them right now.

 

it doesn't have anything special, it just really big.

 

Elves worship Yahya and basically all drug addicts.

I don't think the santa thing counts as a religion

Yahya's cult? WTF is there actually worshipers to him near Detlas? WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS!? And btw I have not done shattered minds yet, but I know you fight Final-Form yayah in a hallucination. Like hes not that important, ------------(removed due to rules) -------------, but he is not. Right?
