Guide Gale & Ohms: Official Information Thread

These are the facts that have been accumulated thusfar about each character. If any more are found, I will add them to the list. Feel free to theorize and speculate on the nature of them both...


Gale

-Gale is the 20th enemy faced in The Qira Hive, being the boss of the Air division.
-Gale is Lv 101. She deals neutral and air damage, resists Air, Thunder, and Earth damage, and is weak to Fire damage.
-Gale utilizes extreme speed and ranged attacks to her advantage, loosing streams of arrows even when she isn't using her spell, Arrow Storm.
-Gale is the only enemy in the Hive not artificially created by Qira.
-Gale willingly fights for Qira. She was not forced, blackmailed, or hypnotized by some method into fighting.
-Gale is dead; you fight her spirit.
-Gale's grave exists. It is at the very top of the caverns behind the Hive.
-Gale had a lover, in the mage Ohms.
-Gale and Ohms each promised each other a memento if they were to die.
-Gale died before Ohms.
-Gale has three items named after her; Gale's Freedom(bought in the Hive Shop for an Air Voucher), Gale's Force(an air-affiliated bow that supposedly summons Gale as an ally when used in battle) and Gale's Sight(an unobtainable item; her memento to Ohms).
-Gale's full name is Gale Nasin.
-Gale's(unofficial) theme can be listened to here. And before you ask, no. Petriform is not "in on the secret." I doubt he is even aware of the server.

-Ohms is a character not implemented into the game in any accessible method...YET.
-Ohms is a thunder mage, as well as a golemancer.
-Ohms is a freelance scientist.
-Ohms is male.
-Ohms has two items named after him; Ohms' Rage(an unobtainable item that supposedly was created from the remains of his favorite golem after it was cursed somehow) and Ohms' Wish(a thunder-affiliated wand; his memento to Gale that he requests the finders leave on Gale's grave should they find it).
-Ohms died after Gale.
-Ohms' Lab is on top of one of the ridges in Lusuco, accessible by dropping a Mechanical Key into a nearby snowbank. However, the teleporter is inoperable at the moment.

So like I said in the other thread, Why did Qira need Gale's servitude? If Qira WAS this super powerful being then why would she waste her time with Gale. I feel like we're missing something here. We all talk as if the decay was the evil, but maybe the light was the evil force all along? Someone else might be pulling all the strings behind the scenes.

Maybe Ohms was close to discovering a huge secret and someone cursed his golem in attempt to silence him. And when he wouldn't stop looking for clues, this someone killed Gale to silence him. But then in the end, Ohms had to die too.

Maybe Qira needs Gale's help because Gale is already dead and therefore can't get killed again.

 

Was the grave... The one with the tier 4 loot chest? I'm so confused, I can never grasp any lore stuff...

 

Currently we have not found the grave. Visit my thread for the search, this one is for theories and lore database.

 

So Gale's grave is either in Dogovi, Molten Heights, Ahmsord, Mt. Wynn or some random mountain.

Yes, it does. That's from anywhere in 2 provinces and an ocean to 4 seperate places.

 

Not Mt. Wynn, we checked.
Most cases its in Gavel (hence the levels and release of the items being within Gavel.

 

Or maybe the grave is in a metaphorically high area. Like Light's realm or Death's realm?

I see Air and Thunder, but why is she resistant to Earth and weak to Fire damage?

 

No, that wouldn't make sense. How would they get her body there to bury her?

Look at her when you enter her Hive Arena. It displays her attributes.




I have theorized about this several times in other threads, but let me ramble on.

So Ohms out-lived Gale, so he most likely buried here somewhere. Ohms is a thunder-mage and worked with Golems. Golemancer is such as funny word. I have seen several golems in Dogovi and Rodoroc (but the Dogovi one looks like it is for a future quest). Perhaps Ohms brought her to Molten Heights and buried her high among the volcanoes there. This might be unlikely, because why would Ohms want us to give Gale his momento if he laid her to rest. Side Note: Golems are made in An Iron Heart. Any practicing golemancer would go there. Perhaps a review of there is needed.

Also, it is very high up. I'm going to assume that the grave is located somewhere in Gavel, because having it in Wynn would just be cruel. The highest places in Gavel are: The Edges (I already scoured those, except for Molten Heights). Sky Islands, which have been extensively combed by many aspiring explorers, and the Canyon of the Lost. What lies in there, none may know, so a maze-party might do well to look therein. I have also seen some mountains in Aldorei reach very high, but they are very thin and are unlikely to contain any tombs.

Based upon the words "It is someplace most people have never visited". The Sky Islands are very visited, but the Back-Above-Ground area of Molten Heights is nowhere near as well detailed on the forums. Again, people should look over the area.

 

Maybe around Rymek? That place has tall structures

 

I've been to that ice castle in Sky Islands. It seemed like a good place. Not there.

 

Usually ghosts and spirits are unharmed by earthly means. Like saying you cant punch a ghost, but Heat can still affect it.

 

That makes sense, but why is she weak to it, not just affected by it.

 

I really just think they needed to give a weakness to balance the mob part of Gale. Cause Water wouldn't make sense against a thunder/air mob, and Fire is the only other option.

 

What was Ohms' golem made of? Was it iron? Snow?

 

For anyone that thinks it's in Molten Heights, I can almost guarantee it is NOT there.

 

So looking at the item names, maybe Gale saw the true sense of whatever that was going on, hence Gale's Sight. And knowing this, when she died she was freed from her mortal bonds and was able to become a spirit, hence Gale's Freedom. But Ohms was not able to make the same realization that Gale did and tried to "cheat the system" and wound up putting a curse on himself and his golem. This explains Ohms Rage. Then. as does every hopeless lover, Ohms made a last dying wish praying that his spirit would spend eternity with Gale, hence Ohms Wish.
