Water

So the title may be a tad bit confusing, so let me explain.

I am making a build (on the same server I made the town of rujala), but this specific build I have something special.

It has storyline. Mad scientist went crazy and got trapped in his tower. A big gear fell in front of the door and no one bothered to move it, I mean, he was crazy.

He does not care. His whole area of research was water. He even has a giant aqua cave system he tests in.

I made it a mystery thing, and there are puzzles and stuff.

So heres where I need help. The guy was obsessed with water. So everything is water oriented.

So far I have been able to do this:


Use filled cauldrons to activate redstone when redstone blocks glitch

Redirect and time water currents

Make water streams activate redstone.


So, thats only like 3 things.

Is anyone here a good redstoner?

Does anyone know any cool tips and tricks using redstone?

If so, please tell me!

 

I could potentially wire the water currents based on time of day, or a clock... It would be... Simple.

 

I need something that can be used in a puzzle easily. Like I said, I got water to activate red stone. I just need something that will work repidetly, on demand, that I have not already listed. Time of day would not be on command, and clock is no really the on demand I'm looking for.

What I mean us that using water in that manner is simple.

 

Yeah I know. That's why I need new concepts. People get bored of the same thing over and over again...

I don't have command blocks on the server

 

Comparitors can pull a signal from cauldrons, you could have a puzzle where you have to find the cauldron with the right amount of water in it to complete a circuit (you can use another comparator to make sure they don't use the most full cauldron) and you could use a piston tape to swap out the cauldrons, or something else.
you could make a puzzle where you have to push an item with water to its right position.
That's all I can think of right now.
