Then you realise that the Devourers are a normally peaceful race, just that someone enslaved most of them (reference to a theory I made after finding a mob called 'Escaped Devourer'.

 

I have this following me about as well and Im an assassin without effects enabled. I'll see like puffs of smoke, or the little bubbles either ahead of me or behind me.

 

Then we'll show a little mercy to you, don't get in our way, and we'll let you forget those memories on your own; instead of using the genocidal method where such memories would be erased though more, manual, means.

Just because a few Shadows may act friendly though, doesn't mean a few others won't rip off your head and use your bleeding neck as a bloody water fountain.

 

When you try to fight us, you will tremble in the power of Time.

When you eat a Devourer's head, more will swarm you.

When you wander the Dark Forest, the enslaved will enslave you as you cry mercy.

As you lurk in the darkness, we walk through it unhindered.

We are Devourers. No magic can hurt us, no sword can piece our hide. That is, if you break our guard, break our skill, break our power.

We are Devourers. We fight together, we fight for our Stone, we fight to stop you from gaining the Power.

We offer you mercy, and your respose is a threat? An idiotic move for a pathetic race. Though we weren't expecting you to be more intelligent than the common earthworm.

Our blades of darkness are so sharp, they can pierce time and reality itself.

The hands of the darkness claim those who dare walk even close to it, only a few of the Guardians have survived, even those becoming possessed by one of us to strengthen our power.

While some of us can become bound by contract, we are not slaves. Many of us have turned on our summoners as they have forgotten parts of the contract.

We do not need the power, we are the power. We are the creatures of darkness, and the death of all species. You've angered the Shadows, and now they'll wipe out your entire race. We'll let you live, though. Barely, but alive, so you can watch as your brothers and sisters are destroyed in front of you.
