    A "Clean" item was a term referring to an item that had been only been gained as a drop. This was without identifications or powders. Due to the Gavel Update forcing identifications, however, the term "Clean" can no longer be used.

    At the moment, I don't believe there is a set definition for clean and id'ed since everything you identify is going to have id's. Maybe in the future, when powders are implemented, dirty will actually mean something.
