So...I was wondering about this for a while.

Let's say I have 0 points put into Intelligence and wearing an armor piece that has, say, -10 Intelligence.
What I'm wondering is: Would this make my Intelligence go to -10, or would it stay at 0 and would that make spells actually cost more than normal?

I'm not just talking about Intelligence here, but also all the of the other skills.

I have the feeling that any negative attribute is going to apply, no matter what your skill points. So, yes, I'll bet that your Int would go to -10 in your example, above.

Yes, if your skill points are at 0 and you have something that gives you a negative then yea it'll stay in the negative zone until you put more skill points in it to make it go up. I think it'll also give you that negative intil too if you have it in your skills.

The main thing I'm wondering about is whether or not negative Int would make your spells cost more. Negative Str make you deal less damage etc.

I think it'll make you not regen or maybe loose intil faster if you have a negative ../: I'm not so sure, I havnt really tested it myself.

I don't think negative skill points actually affect those aspects(Negative Strength would not reduce earth/neutral damage dealt, etc.), but it instead gives a 'debt' of skill points, where you need to have X amount of skill points in that attribute in order for it to start having an effect. I make it sound more complex than it seems...
