Question On Threads

Ok, so there are 2 things that I have a question on. I know admins can do this to any thread, but can you do these actions to your own threads?

• Move them from section to section (you made a thread in wynncraft by mistake, can you move it ti suggestions?)

• Can you close a thread? (you made a thread that is outdated. You don't want to delete is in case others want to read it, can you close it so no one can comment?)

So yeah! Can you perform these actions to your own threads, and if so, how?

 

I'd actually like this option. You should add a poll m80.

 

I take it you can not do these things?

 

You cannot do this to your own threads, however you can request a mod to do so.

Ok! thanks for the info guys. I was just curious. I will keep the thread up so if anyone else has the same question they can look here. Now if I could only close it to comments...

 

The reason you can't lock a thread is because of the following:

• Maybe someone else wants to ask a question or comment about the matter, by closing the thread you are preventing them from doing so and pushing them to post their own threads which will clog up the forums.
• Lets say a discussion developed on one of your threads that is not to your liking, if you could close the thread that will break the free speech civil right.
• Also if you lock a thread you are sentencing it to a quick trip to the locked pages.

The reason you can't move threads is just to prevent people moving threads all over the place which can be annoying.
