Bad Lag With Texture Pack, Need Help

    Its been a while since I have played on here, so I had no idea there was a texturepack. But when I allowed it to work, I lagged horribly. I tried installing optifine to help it run, but optifine will not launch. I am on a windows 10 and java is fully updated so I need some help. I opened optifine with winRAR because it will not launch using java. I would like to get this fixed ASAP so I may play with my friends on here and I'm getting aggravated with it because it won't let me move much without it.

    Do you have any other problems running minecraft regularly on other servers?
    Anyways, there's many ways to get it run faster, unless you've seen the list I'm about to link about..

    He just runs over some tips on what to do, blah blah blah. Recommend #1 since it provides more ram and stuff.
    I'm not that techy person so I would ask someone else..but feel free to check the list.

    Alright, I did a lot that it said and nothing helped. I am unable to play the game unless I can get something to work for me on windows 10. I gave my computer more GB to run on, edited my graphics, even tried putting my Java at high priority, and it didn't work.

    Opening the java file with winrar wont do anything usefull. Double clicking on it should give a small screen which has a install button.

    Do you have a dedicated graphics card? (And does Minecraft/Java use it?)

    I didn't open java using winrar, I had clicked on the optifine file, but it opens using winrar. So i right clicked on the optifine file, went to properties and selected open with, then chose Java. Basically saying the Java would launch it from their on, not winrar. But the thing it does, is immediately crash. USUALLY it would open and say to install it. And yes my graphics card is just fine, its a new laptop I got a few months back. Windows 10 HP Notebook. If you want more information about my graphics card comment again and I'll be more than happy to tell you about it
