Guide Putting The Wynnpack Into Your Singleplayer World

I'll be doing this on a Windows 8 laptop, FYI. For other operating systems, whether other versions of Windows or other systems entirely, it'll most likely be different, but not too different. You might have to spend a bit more time searching for something or another, but it really shouldn't be very off from what I'll show you.

We all know about the WynnPack and how awesome it is. If you play Wynncraft actively and have no idea what the WynnPack is, then I'm worried. But what if we want to get it in our singleplayer world? It seems to deactivate every time you leave Wynncraft, so it can't be easy....

Well, it actually isn't too difficult. The WynnPack is downloaded directly into your computer, so with some file digging, you CAN get the WynnPack working like a normal resource pack. I'll show you how.

First off, you have to get to your .minecraft folder. It's really not that complex if you know how. Feel free to skip this part and continue on if you already know how to access .minecraft

Spoiler: How To Access .minecraft

The first thing you'll have to do is enter your files system, which shouldn't be awfully hard, though I'm not sure how hard it would be for someone who has no idea how to find it.... Whatever, I'll just show you a basic idea of what you might find at this point:

Are you at a place that looks like here, with basic directories like desktop and downloads? Good. Next, hover your mouse just to the right of the place that says "This PC" with an arrow next to it, then click. The text "This PC" should be highlighted.

Now, type the following text:

Press the enter key, and when the results pop up, this should be one of the first (if not the first) things you'll see:

Open the file, and you'll be in .minecraft, the place where your Minecraft data is stored!

Now that you're in the lifeblood of Minecraft, feel free to explore a bit. Some of the folders that interest me there, personally, are logs, screenshots, saves, resource packs and server resource packs, though that's completely irrelevant. Onto the task.

Locate the server-resource-packs in the .minecraft folder. This is where every server resource pack you've used will be stored. From there, look for the WynnPack. Its name should be something like legacy_wynnpackzip.

Select it, and then copy it with CTRL+C. Now, go back to .minecraft and direct yourself to the resource packs folder. This is where all your Minecraft resource packs are, if you've ever installed any.

This is a screenshot where I highlighted the resource packs folder and the server-resource-packs folder, which are the only two files of .minecraft that you'll be tinkering in right now. Once you're in the resource packs folder, press CTRL+V to paste the WynnPack folder in the resource packs folder.

In this raw state, however, the WynnPack is unusable. You'll have to extract it. Select the WynnPack and right click, and you should get a whole list of things you can do with the WynnPack. I decided to pixelate the irrelevant parts of the pop-up.

Hopefully you'll wind up finding something like this, where you can extract to "legacy_wynnpackzip~\" which is exactly what you want to do. After several seconds, the extraction will be complete and you'll have a fully functional WynnPack in your resource packs folder. Run Minecraft now, and you should be able to find this in the resource packs selection menu:


Now have fun beating away creepers and zombies in singleplayer using a mighty hammer that in reality is actually a block of spruce stairs.

 

I thought you weren't allowed to download the resource pack...

 

Ehh... It's downloaded by the client you more or less just rename it xD

This isn't very pointless actually!

I use a lot of the Wynn Textures in my personal (custom) resource pack. and of COURSE I gave the creators credit, after all, they did all the work and deserve to be recognized for it. (im taking no credit for the textures)

If you want to use the pack at all (even on the server) you have to download it. How else would you get it?

 

People sayin ye aint allowed to download the pack: According to Salted, the Team new peeps would download the pack somehow, and removed all major secrets of the pack, even calling it "WynnCraft Lite". There are currently 6 unknown objects in the files, a rabbit hide shield, and 5 runes.

 

shield can be found in item frames in towns, currently working on what the runes mean

I already knew this, and the pack hasn't downloaded yet.

 

I feel like they should've known exactly what they were doing if they were planning any secrets.

Besides, the runes are garbage. They're not for anything anymore, we just got confirmation.
