Terraria

Do you guys like terraria?

If you do like terraria, I'd like to know what you guys like to do on this game.

Also, do you think it is similar to minecraft?

 

I love Terraria, fun game. What makes it really good is the abundance of items.

I think it has its similarities, but it has a much different play style to MC.

 

I bought it but havent gotten into it yet

 

What I really like about terraria is that you can go on adventures and get awesome loot. Same in minecraft, but it isn't as exciting. That's the main difference, from my perspective.
However, wynncraft was made for adventure like the ones I like. I enjoy exploring the land and finding loot. I guess another difference is that minecraft server are more detailed then terraria server. That said, I barely visited one terraria server. You get my point

Go play it dude. It's an awesome game. Similar to minecraft, but it's also quite different

 

It's really not similar to minecraft at all.. only similarities is you mine ores and craft stuff. Building is way different, game layout is way different, playstyle is way different, items and the game worlds are way different.

It's alright, definitely an amazing game for the price, if anything. I've gotten more than 900 hours out of it so far since 1.1.

and it's such a good game, you can't put it down.

The game just makes you play to the moon lord in one day...

 

I love terraria, but I've never gotten paste WoF on the PC version because all I do is fish.
Its one of my favorite games, and I dont really understand why people compare it to minecraft so much. All that they have in common is crafting and a small number of items. Terraria has much more mobs and items, and the bosses are pretty fun too. I haven't had as much trouble with a boss in any other game *cough cough* The Twins *cough*

 

Terraria is amazing and its single player is WAY better then MC's ( imo). I've put in so much time and I've still only scratched the surface of things I can do. There's always a goal to achieve, a boss to fight, or an area to explore. I've never tried multiplayer, and you really don't have to.

Also you can get mobile Terraria for Apple products and play it anywhere. That's a really good way to spend vacations. Unlike buggy MCPE

Terraria = Defending (you actually have people you can protect), exploring, gathering resources and fighting bosses
Minecraft = Gathering resources and building
The gathering resource part is like the only similar aspect

 

I really like Terraria, in fact, I have put 589 hours put into the game as I'm writing this :P

I don't think Minecraft and Terraria can even be compared at all. One is a building game, with a ton of minigame servers, while the other is 2D (a huge difference on its own) and based around adventuring.

 

So some of you may know this, but Redigit has plans for future Terraria games. 1.3 was the last update Red was working on, and then moved onto Terraria: Otherworld. After that, he plans on making Terraria 2, which will make Terraria 2.5D. He will also add lore to the game. And then in the very far future, Terraria 3 will be a thing, and it will be fully 3D.
If Terraria 3 ever comes out, that will be the only game I will ever play.

 

I absolutely love Terraria! It is quite similar to minecraft in some aspects, but it has more of a story line and more opportunities to get awesome loot! I also just love that it's more focused on adventuring rather than building like in minecraft. Overall, it's a super fun game! A few friends and I beat the last boss only a few days after starting a new world; it was crazy!

Gotta love Terraria! I MAY start my Warrior playthrough on PC if I ever finish my console playthrough. Either that or I'll start right now. Actually, I AM going to start it now! Later.

 

There's Pedguin's minigame server if that counts. But it's VERY laggy and has like 4 minigames: Spleef, Guess the Build, CTF and a PvE once a week or so.

 

People really need to stop comparing Terraria to Minecraft. Sure, they're both based around being pixelated and stuff, but these are vastly different. Even though I preferred Minecraft for a very long time, when I played Terraria 1.2.4, it was a blast to play. Beat Duke Fishron during the 5th day of starting out a new world and character, that was hell. Was impressed by all the content, a lot more than what Minecraft delivers, especially 1.3. Too bad it won't get anymore big updates from here. If it wasn't for wynncraft and school, I would have invested a lot more hours into Terraria lol.
