Hello my affable friends. We will be accepting GM trials again in like a year or two. So heres some advice on how to properly make an app.

Rewards:

Make em fit the level of the quest, use the wiki if you're not sure what level quests give what.

Names:

Rhyming is the best name
"Banks Buttons" great quest name.

Quest:

This is a test of how creative you can be, DO NOT MAKE A GRIND/FETCH app. Thats not creative, its not original. It is very very unlikely you will be accepted with that. Do something original, like this one app had the idea of a caravan murder mystery. That was cool, and it got a high score.

Items:
Armour/Weapons. Seriously you have no idea how many apps we get that are things like "A Washer" misc item. It's not

Extra Info:

Try and impress us.

 

just a little tip. if your really emotional and dont wanna get that message saying "your app was denied", dont apply at all so you wont feel sad.

 

Who came up with the cowfusion quest... That's become one of my favorites haha

 

oh and when you do get into trial
make sure to spam the shit out of salted so he'll look at your fucking trial

Thanks for the tips. I was gonna make an app soon. So this is good to know. But what do you mean "in like a year or two?" Are you saying nothing will be accepted for a year?

 

I'm presuming that they're waiting out a little until Gavel is pretty much done with all the major content, so then they can start working on bigger and better things.

But really, it made me smile when Bank made a thread that was legitimately aimed at helping people. Of course, that goes for all of his threads.

 

One question, which I think would help everyone; if I were to make an application, in that Quest, would I have to make up mob names, with statistics, levels, how much damage they do, they're health, etc. etc.?
If so, I think this was the thing that made me fail last time I applied - as I was unsure on how much was needed. :P

 

It would help if you included some statistics, keep in mind we're not going to check to make sure its 100% balanced (unless selvut) but it does make your app stand out, and shows you realize that you'll need to be making mobs. Really make those mob names good. I don't want to see "Ice Zombie" or something like that. If you could make it via commandblocks or armourstands, just something with pics to really make you stand out!

Will applications that were neither accepted or denied be kept for when applications open up again? I literally built a entire area/biome for my quest, so it would be nice for me to not have to remake it.

You should also point out that YML generators don't really add anything to your app, and really just make it harder to read.
