Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Unless there's a new term for your portals, none of us around here have. Is... our world being invaded?"

 

"Maybe. I'm not sure yet. These rifts, or disturbances, have been happening for a while. Very recently, creatures which call themselves draconians are coming through these portals. Apparently only 10 are coming through. But they are very capable of using magic. I have seen four of them so far. Two of them have sided with a small group which I was helping from Emeraldonia. Another was definitely against us. The final one, I'm not sure whether she was with or against us. I came here to give some instructions. If anything with a description similar to 'humanoid dragon' should be sighted in the Darklands, then tell one of my cult to tell me."
OCC: One or two of the cult would be in the Darklands at all times so that the Darklands could easily connect to me or the Void Palace.

 

The King takes a moment to let this sink in before nodding.
"I'll spread the word. Do you know anything of their goals? What they are doing or intend to do?"

Meanwhile...
"Mother? Why can't Vesius go home?"
"I... think he's injured. Part of him lost to the attack..."
"Why are they hunting him? Wouldn't I be an easier target?"
"Not with me around, don't even think about it. They know what his predecessor managed, they fear he will become that powerful again."
*yawn* "...Mother?"
"Yes, Hon?"
"I'm... going to take... a-a..."
"Someday... Maybe here, I'll find you a place to rest..."
Levitating Ihra behind her, mother and daughter head unknowingly towards Brisingr.

"A beacon? She's here already?! Ah, the locals are going to love that..."

 

"I'm not entirely sure myself, though it seems that some of them want to defeat some of the others. Maybe they are split in half by a war from where they came from, but I'm not sure. I thought they were going for the Emerald Vault, the treasure the Emeraldonians are trying to get their hands on as we speak, but now I'm less sure. Oh, and one of the two who seem to be with us for now was forced through a rift, so maybe he is an outcast from his land and is trying to flee. But there would be no way of knowing. Only time will tell."
With that, I walk out of the palace. I fly into the air once more and start searching for Vesius.

 

The King doesn't turn to you as you leave, deep in thought.

You sense a burst of light and dark energy in the distance, direction suggests the No Man's Land.

 

I go towards the energy bursts.

 

After a decent amount of flying, you see me near a cut-up corpse of... Well... You can't tell. My rapier and broadsword are still in my hands, suggesting it's a fresh kill.
"Uh... Hope that wasn't yours..." I mutter.

 

I ask Vesius, "What happened here?"

 

OOC: yeah ill be offline for a while, maybe in some short bursts ill reply, but, school and homework say otherwise.
"Hmm, while im here I should at least go grab my horse." I say as I walk into the woods and head to Gargantuan.

 

"Some... I don't know what, midnight blue... thing... came from behind. Ihra's shield never wore off, so its surprise was lost there. I think it may be... uh... obvious... what happened next."
He glances at the ground nervously a few times while stating this.

OOC: School's getting me too.

There's the scent of blood as you travel. You notice nothing else out of the ordinary.

After a few more minutes of traveling, your horse is standing right where you left him.

 

"Ihra was taken by the thing?"

 

"No, I don't know where she went. Well... I can't say no, but... I have no idea."

 

"What direction did the thing go in?"

 

"It's dead here. Crap... Ihra, you better not die..."

 

"I'll see if I can find her or something which will lead me to her."
I fly into the air again and start searching for Ihra or anything which seems unusual.

 

"Dusty! There you are!" I say as I saddle up my horse

 

I teleport into the entry hall of the castle to see what's going on.

 

As you ascend, you can see the draconian in the crimson robe walking with her towards Brisingr.

Nobody's... Here...

 

I umm... Teleport to Solignis
