Marked's Files Of Obscure Locations 5

Hi, I am Marked, and today I will take you to some of Wynn's more obscure locations.

Note: most location names are unofficial. Commentary goes below the relevant picture, not above.

Underground Compound

I gotta tell you, this place is huge and the file for it is too. This place was added in the Gavel update and can be found in the very back of the desert. @Pyromancer44 recommended this location to me.




The flag is nice, but this place is clearly -drumrolls- deserted. All openings are half boarded up and there's vines growing all over.



The inside looks disturbing. Let's go upstairs.




There's some beds, crates, a map and a fall down. Boring. I go downstairs again.



A table that clearly no one has sat at for a long time.



There's a button in the back. I press it.




A secret entrance is revealed!





I take a left and find a well. This place has a good water supply.



I continue to the storage area.




The storage area contains a lot of food, emeralds and gold. Whoever collected all of this must be wealthy.



I continue to the sleeping chamber.








The amount of beds here is almost disturbing. You could station a small army here. I really wonder who has the resources and men to manage this hidden compound.



Back to the main hall now.



The weird structure with the arrows is a compass! The arrows on each side point to a direction.



Even more crates.




There's an explosive storage too. Getting real suspicious now...




The armory. You could definitely supply plenty of soldiers here.


At first, if you just look at the well and the storage chamber it looks like a bunker of some doomsday prepper, or the living quarters of a rich hermit. But when you look at the amount of armor and weapons in the armory and the huge amount of beds in the sleeping chamber confirm my suspicions that this place was/will be used to station a small army. Troops of authorities don't need an underground chamber to train and this place is very remote. I suspect this place belongs to rebels or WynnExcavation, considering how they oppose the current autorities in Wynn, or maybe it belongs to another faction unheard of for now.

Omg I saw this on the map today and I was gonna go look when I had the chance. Seems like you got to it first. You could defiantly have an army there, but there's the bigger problem. Someone was there recently. Fires are still burning, the pigs are still nice and pink. If everyone picked up and left, why would so many emeralds will be there? And if they all left in a scramble, why would the armor be all nice and orderly. No, the outside looks neglected, but the inside has definitely been used recently.

Oh and add this to ure list of changes in Wynn. Defense toy belongs there (sorry for commenting so much)

 

You could talk about the prison between Ternaves and the abandoned mines, it has been added with gavel. =)

 

I've been there, I really found no entrance or anything. I got a sneaky little peek through a window and saw a cake :3

Maybe there is a hidden entrance or something, Idk :<

 

I managed to go inside eventually, I don't remember how. I know I turned around the prison for a bit, and then found an entrance in the back.

 

Well... let me just add something to this. Since this is in the Gavel Update and in Wynn, I have an idea. An admin (Salted I think? Or Grian?) said that the builds for the questline of Wynncraft have been added, though the questline itself hasn't. Also, the questline goes up to about level 50, so this bunker would fit it. So I think that Ba'al (or was it Ba'kal? There are two NPCS with similar names, I think it was Ba'al) made this base so that he could try to take over Wynn. And we will likely find out more about it too!

 

That wouldn't surprise me actually, the main questline is about Ba'al, and it takes place, as you said, in Wynn. (In the teaser you get attacked by Ba'al in Ragni)

Maybe you will need to sneak in to this Underground Compound base and look for clues of Ba'al's hideabouts, Idk :p

 

And as for places to look at, I found an interesting ruin with a loot chest inside near Nivla Forest. Can't remember exactly where it is and it wasn't very big but here's the thing. The chamber seemed to have no use, except for the loot chest. But it was only a slightly helpful loot chest 2, implying that the place wasn't something like a storage for magical items. Wait, why use magical? Well, there is one thing I noticed. After finding these ruins, which seemed very ordinary, I went down the staircase in the middle. At the bottom, the loot chest and a nice little chamber WITH QUARTZ. We can only find quartz around Llevigar, though the shipment at Nemract implies that there might be more somewhere in Wynn. And we know that magic is contained within quartz. Powerful magic. This chamber could have been used for magic. And unlike most ruins, these ruins didn't look very old. They looked fairly new on the outside and Llevigar pristine inside.

 

I know where it is, it's near the time valley.

 

Yeah, sort of between the two.

I'd never found it before Gavel, but I expected that it wasn't new since its only game related use is obviously the loot chest.

And another thing I found around the same time was an interesting cave hidden behind the waterfall at the Animal Dungeon. And on the topic of waterfalls, there is a really interesting cave behind the waterfalls coming from the From the Mountains quest area. It seems to be very derelict and from what I saw didn't even have a loot chest. But the interesting thing was the mushrooms...

 

the cave by the animal dungeon was also there. Not sure about the from the mountains one though.

And on the quartz thing, I used to use that early game for good loot.

The entrance is in the back courtyard, you can enter through the cells' door near the main hallway.

 

From the Mountains is a quest added in the Gavel Province, so no it wasn't before the Gavel Update. Basically, you climb a mountain to try and get some holy water for saving someone. There is a river on the mountain which goes into a waterfall. Behind the waterfall is a cave with mushrooms near the end.

 

what if theres just 1 simple explanation. they all left, and either they died, got asasinated, or went into war.

 

You can get in through the back, actually. It's kinda creepy.
