SPOILER The Merchant For The Golden Clock

This truly looks like level 60/70 gear, not 80+.

 

Seems kind of stupid, one piece adds a bonus, then another nearly takes it away...

 

When I got the golden clock, I went to the door of time and noticed it was open for the first time. I was so excited that I'd found the secret quest. Now that there is a clock merchant who sells pretty mediocre items for the golden clocks. I don't want to seem rude, but it is kinda a big disappointment. :/ I love everything else in Gavel though :)

So you have to collect 8 of each "Broken" clock to then fight and kill Kronos 8 times to get 8 golden clocks to buy a set of "Clock" items that probably aren't worth the amount of work? Sounds like a good deal to me.

 

It's probably not OP so people would do it for the gear, but for the satisfaction of having found an easter Egg like this.
But I guess there isn't any satisfaction anymore since everyone knows about it already.

 

You only need one of each and wait Kronos to respawn

 

Huh...hadn't thought of that. I figured you'd get TP'd out like a dungeon, but now that you've mentioned it you've saved me from grinding a whole bunch.

Next Patch: Kronos fight now teleports you out when you kill Kronos

 

Its more the fact that the player has to go through so much effort to get bad gear.

 

The boots look insane, 2 tier attack speed for not much of a loss. Just use the legs and its a win win situation. +2 tier is absolutely broken.

 

Well that blows my mind.

 

How do you get those items and how do you get a folden clock to trade with the merchant?

Can i join too? I have to do it too, as long as noone of us has any information about how to solve it or where to start it, we can do it. Creating parties to do it is allowed, but NOT telling others how to do it, if you have already done it, or started it.

 

I heard somewhere Attack Speed gives spell damage as compensation for the lower weapon dmg.

Yeah I'm not getting the Aldorei clock now. I cant use this gear, (im lvl 59) and this is ok compared to some of the other stuff at lvl 73. Shame, I got all the clocks but the Aldorei one :(
