Refer Too Wynncraft Gamedesign Thread

ok so no spoilers here sorry if you where hopping for any but onto the point

right now certain things in this update are bannable too talk about and I understand the goal these secrets will completely change the way the player sees the game world when discovered so yeah spoiling these is just an asshole move too the staff and too the player but making talking about these things at all in anyway does /SO/ much more harm then good and I know that as the devs you /really/ don't want it being spoiled and there is an answer too this problem just ask your community not too openly talk about it or how too solve it and i really mean that cause game communitys are p good about that usually and right now these quests and secrets that really should be building a /TON/ of engagement in the game world in almost all players are not doing that right now because theres no point in searching for them cause when you reach that point of i will never solve this on my own ive gotten x far can i get a small hint as too what im doing wrong not a word can be said too you and for anybody that's searching for some of these secrets and are like eeeh they cant be that bad as someone who has been in x non descript hole in the groundand spent hours upon hours trying too solve x non descript puzzle too open x non descript door too x non descript quest npc and has then spent hours upon hours trying too figure out where x non descript puzzle answer is in gavel its not worth finding these secrets right now despite the very large amount they can bring too the game

some part of the secrets is the feeling of accomplishment you get when you find it... ruining that is just annoying and sad

 

this is about quitting with the whole bannable offence thing not about that we should ruin these secrets? spoiling these would be horrible and I'd hate it these secrets are great because of the feeling of accomplishment you get for completing one you are 100% correct that is there strength this is about removing the bannable part from them cause it ends up taking away so much from something so good

maybe your right maybe this community is just bad and cant be trusted then in that case the moment you ban someone it just encourages them too completely spoil the secrets in a manner that cant be taken down still a losing situation for the current bannable condition these are in

i think the whole bannable secret things are pretty stupid, if someone who wants help with something is searching for answers then they should have a right to get them :/ this is especially true with something like ??? because i know a lot of people enjoy the leveling up and exploring new content part of wynn and other games..not helping them at all just puts them far behind other people who do know the answer.

They have to have something which is a surprise. You'd be surprised at how surprising surprises get.

 

the thing about the relics and unknown quest ??? is that you need to actually find out where and how they're accessed
having a person just tell you where and how to do it really ruins the experience of it all
it's like movies or tv shows, you want to find out yourself rather than having all the details thrown up on you and ruining everything

if you want to do it so badly, try and make a group to find/do ???

 

OK. I don't know how long you have been playing WynnCraft because the player stats, at this moment, are down. I do know, however, that you haven't been on the forums for very long. So far, I've seen two threads that you have started, both of which are nothing more than complaints. In my opinion, your complaints reflect more upon your lack of experience and knowledge about this community, as a whole, and about the gaming world, in general, where spoilers are rampant. Please, from the perspective of just another community member, calm down, and learn a few things before you speak. There are good reasons for making some things bannable offenses, and this point has been discussed, before. The forums have a search function that everyone can use. You can search through the past posts, read what said, digest it, then make a more informed post about the topic, if you choose to do so. All, or nearly all, of the points that you have made have already been made, and countered, already, so you're just rehashing what has already been discussed, so far. That's a really strong caveat, that so far. Don't stop thinking about what you would like to see changed, because you might come up with really good ideas, that haven't already been discussed.

 

it's fine that you are meant to do it yourself but finding it out could take anywhere from an hour to weeks...i still think if someone really really wanted to find the answer and just dont find it fun anymore to look for it, then what's wrong with letting them know?

good call on making a group though, im sure it will be a lot easier for those who do that :)

 

the thing is, ??? is a mystery, it's possible to actually find out info of the quest without people telling you
but i can't say anything else

Yes I am very much fairly new too these forums you are correct. When it comes too how long I've been around I started playing When the original video displaying that Wynncraft was a server that was too be coming out was released and have been playing on and off ever since I'm level 93 right now I know what I'm doing. And I guess I'd really like too clarify this everyone seems too think that these these threads are complaints and they aren't they're issues with something I love and I want too talk about them so that Wynncraft can be made better for it. That is not too say that I do not wish too complain about this one in particular but the goal of these threads was too have an informed discussion about game design and things that can be done better.
