Guide Forum Etiquette

So there are a lot of people on the forums. And I mean A LOT. And no offence, but some of them are not the best on making threads and stuff. So I wanted to make a quick guide on what to do and what not to do on the forums. Please add anything you think I forgot in the comments. Now I am not perfect, and I admit to have broken some of these rules, so I am not saying I am doing this better than everyone else. Just wanted to put that out there.

So, here we go:

• If there is a really good post in a section, like a long theory or a build that took a lot of work, any you want to post something stupid in that section, don't. The way I personally (and I assume many others) look at the forums is just clicking on what is on the little "latest post" box. So if someone has a really cool build that they want to show off or a really good idea, and you want to post over it with something like "new weapon idea! Deals 999999999 damage!" just don't.

• Support yourself! If you put an arguable fact somewhere, support it with evidence. For example: "Gavel will have dungeons because a GM said on this thread: (links thread)". A bad example would be: "I don't think Dern will have endermen because I see it differently from my 0 seconds of research."

• Don't talk gibberish. Don't say things like "hw mch for dat?" or "hlp, i stck wth qust". Like we all get what your are saying, but don't be like that.

• Don't scam people. "Selling Gold Ingot for 10 eb a piece!"

• Don't try to buy good things cheap. "Your are selling Etheral for 2 le? I will buy it for 12 eb and 4 rotten flesh!"

• Don't be "That Guy" (enough said?)

• Don't put spoilers in the title of your post, put the tag and spur the spoiler in the post, so not one sees the title and gets a spoiler they don't want

• Don't get mad about feedback (unless it is stupid). Take everything into account and edit your post when necessary.

• Give credit where it is due (tagging, multi quoting, linking, ect).

• Don't be a spambot. No ones wants body building advice from a website that advertises on game forums. Just don't

• Don't use hard to read colors

• Read FAQs, guides, and rules before posting.

• Do not post in the wrong section

So yeah!

 

Don't use a color that is focused for a certain theme, like black on white or white on black

You can reveal powder relic locations but not gear.

 

Still considered a relic I think. Same with emerald relic

 

No..That rule was only specifically meant for the weapon/armor relics because of the sealed letters.
Powder relics are fine to give locations to.

Also please refrain from using real forum/game rules that people have to follow in the etiquette.
Example:
"And finally (for now) don't break forum rules. That includes talking about the ??? quest, tagging the head GMs and Devs to look at your post, don't message them asking them to look at a post (I am guilty of this) and don't give away relic locations."

If you dont mind removing that part, as its already in the rules section.

Read the FAQ/Guides before posting anything. I have seen far too many posts in the wrong sections.

The new pays section only shows the five latest threads, don't let the fact that these a good thread there keep you from paying your own thread. There will always be a thread outside of the new threads list.

Well if you're using dark theme you can only blame yourself. You can't blame Spyro for using the light theme ;d (I really hope you are)

 

We aren't blaming him for using light theme, we are blaming him for putting colors that aren't theme-considerable.

I am not using any theme, I am just using the default or whatever. Any colors I use are for the default because, well, it's the default
