I have a few questions about attack speed and spells, firstly:

    1. If I already have a super fast weapon and I equip + attack speed tier armor, will it have any effect on how fast I attack? In other words, is there a cap on how fast (or slow) I can attack?

    2. Does attack speed affect spells in any way? For example, does it increase how fast I can cast a spell or how fast a spell lands (such as how soon meteor hits the ground)?

    1. I think Super Fast is where it caps, maybe.

    2. No clue, I'm also curious on that as well.

I believe there's still tiers beyond Super Fast, it's just that the highest any weapons have without attack speed increases is Super Fast.
Pretty sure spells aren't affected at all, so a big drawback of fast attack speeds is weaker spells.

No; spell damage is affected by two multipliers; the base spell damage AND a modifier based on attack speed. Spells used with higher attack speeds have a higher extra multiplier to compensate for the low base damage.

Is this extra multiplier for attack speed classified?

And also, is there a cap on attack speed?

So, basically, fast speed weapons are better at spell damage than slow speed weapons?

Not necessarily. From my understanding, yes, faster weapons have a higher multiplier to their spell damage, BUT faster weapons generally have a weaker base damage so it equals out.
