Fix Wynncraft

So many things are broken in Wynncraft. I feel like Gavel was rushed out to meet the goal of releasing by fall. I rather of had the fixed, well-made Wynncraft than deal with it post-Gavel with an excessive amount of bugs. Here's a short list of examples:

- Guilds are completely bugged (A large feature of Wynncraft)
- /forum is bugged (I and many others haven't received our forums donator rank yet)
- Classes are bugged (I've heard)
- Servers are crashing (Near unplayable)
- Horses are completely bugged (They barely move)
- Running takes up way too much Mana (Not a bug, but something that needs to be fixed)

I'm sure that this list goes on and on, but these are the major bugs. This is basically to say Wynncraft is broken as of now. It is playable, but all the features that make the game that much better are broken. It now takes ages to travel, you cannot make or leave guilds, donator perks aren't received, and to top it all of you can barely go ten minutes without your server crashing sometimes. Yesterday, the server I was on crashed multiple times.

 

Simple answer to this. Wait until people get bored of Gavel.

Ignore my horrible wording

 

- Guilds were broken before the update I think.
- /forum is probably least priority because it doesn't help or change anything it only show that you are VIP.
- /class works perfect for me but maybe not for others.
- Yes, servers are crashing but they are playable. And it was expected that it would happen.
- Horses only lagg if the server is lagging.
- And running seems to be like before the update.

And there have been way to many threads about the server lagging, so please, just wait and be quite.

I believe he meant that Assassin is broken, not /class isn't working.

 

So what if it was bugged before Gavel? That doesn't make an excuse. Core gameplay aspects should be fixed before they release new content. That just makes the situation worse. Servers are crashing, that's a problem. No matter the cause. You obviously don't pay attention either because everyone has been complaining about the Assassin class.

/forum is pretty important considering it's needed for the server to fulfill the donation promises. Servers that are constantly crashing aren't playable bud. Horses lag no matter what the server is doing. I didn't say all these were causes of Gavel, that would make no sense, I was saying that they should be fixed and addressed before they release Gavel.

It doesn't seem like it does it? According to these people these bugs have been around for a while. I know the staff works hard, but you can't throw aside the best aspects of the game. Guilds, forums, horses, and the server stability is a lot more important than getting new content out. People enjoyed Wynn before Gavel, I'm sure they wouldn't mind waiting to make it even better. After all, it's hard to enjoy Gavel when things like the topics I listed don't work properly.

 

There's a lot of boat lag too, unless its just me.

I've hardly had any issues with guilds. The only thing I noticed is when someone wanted to leave the guild but couldn't because /guild leave was bugged, so someone kicked him. Wasn't exactly game-breaking. The forums aren't completely bugged, having a banner that says VIP on it under your name isn't the most exciting thing in the world, and the VIP section is hardly active. Horses are due to server lag, so they'd have to upgrade their servers which they have said on twitter that they were doing this. You can't fix the lag by writing a magic line of code, you have to actually purchase more servers. The lag is a lot better than it is on other servers out there with a similar size.

I have no idea what you're talking about on that last bit. I've only gone into Gavel once and I didn't even leave Llevigar and I'm still enjoying re-doing the low-level Wynn quests which I already know exactly how to do. There's issues but they've hardly effected me.

 

The issue was that Jumla was on holiday vacation when everything bugged out! He should be back in a few days, so hopefully these bugs will be patched out very soon. It was just unfortunate timing, and while I can't really help fix it/wasn't responsible for too many bugs myself, I really do apologize.

 

Add Bob item drops he wont drop more items. They Saïd it was added to that Bob would drop one for every fighter

 

It was rushed because everyone couldn't be patient. People started screaming saying, "Oh I'm gonna quit Wynncraft because Gavel hasn't come out yet." Now people are screaming, "I'm quitting because of Gavel." It takes a lot to please you people I guess. A lot of these things were broken before Gavel even released, so I don't get why you're blaming Gavel lol.

 

I like how most people, probably the OP too, wanted Gavel like, NOW, then they make threads about fixing Gavel because THEY wanted it rushed.

Correction: they said it would drop one for each player who did enough damage to him. If you didn't contribute a certain amount of damage, you don't get the item. I think this is a good system, as it prevents someone from just bringing a higher level person to do it for them while contributing very little.

As for the main post, this is a very useless thread. This is not my opinion. This is a fact. There is no need to make a thread listing all the complaints you have that all the mods and admins were already blatantly aware of, especially when not many of them are important.

• Lag is not an issue that can be fixed in minutes. This is a problem not because of the admins or coding, but because we have over twice to three times the amount of players as before, and many of them are not supporting the server via donations. In order to fix lag, they must buy more servers, but a majority of the playerbase would rather complain about a few features rather than support all of the work and dedication that the content team has put in. If you want the lag to be fixed, donate to the server so that they can actually afford to host more servers and distribute the strain of all of the players.
• As for Guilds and the /forum bugs, they made it explicitly clear before Gavel's release that these would be fixed after Gavel. You state that primary gameplay features should be fixed before adding new content, but I don't even understand your logic there. How on earth are /forums and Guilds a primary feature? /forums is for VIPs only, only works with a forums account, and only adds a tiny tag under your forum name. This is in no way a primary feature. Guilds on the other hand, at least do something relevant. Guilds are not, however, broken. The only feature I have noticed being broken is the /leave part, and this, as previously mentioned, can be solved by simply kicking the player who wants to leave. If you are referring to attacks not working, simply attack again and wait a few more minutes. Do not claim that either of these features is a "primary gameplay feature" when one is completely optional, and the other exclusive to a select group of players.
• Running has not changed from before the update. This likely will not change any time soon. The point of this feature is to make the player place greater priority on means of travel such as horses, boats, pets, or any form of travel. In regards to the lag on those, refer to my first point. These will get better in time as players leave Wynn or donate to support the servers.
• Classes, to my knowledge, are not "bugged" and so far you have failed to even describe what you mean by that.

If you are going to post a long, opinionated thread, at least bother to use valid logic and examples to defend your claims, as well as avoid being blatantly rude and disrespectful to the people who helped create this server. As other people have stated before me, and as many will after me, be grateful that Wynncraft exists at all, rather than complaining about the details.

If a mod is reading this, I would appreciate it if this thread is locked or deleted, as there is no need for it to remain here.
