Hollow Sirene Bugged?

I'm currently at the part where the quest book says "Solve the puzzle to open the door that locks the heirloom" I already have the earmuffs, but the game won't let me enter the cave even if I wear them. My party mates had no such problems. I completed the wack a mole puzzle in the catacombs again and got myself another earmuff, but to no avail. Am I just stupid and missing something really obvious, or is my quest bugged?

 

No quests are bugged, people have completed them all. In this case, you can try carefully going through the quest steps because you missed a point where the book should have updated.

 

Can someone tell me what I should do to get my quest to update?
