OK, so I'm following a trail, just like I'm supposed to be, because some nice NPC told to me. I'm in a Lv60 area, and I'm Lv61. Suddenly, there's a lunatic running around, near enough to my level, but it's some kind of mass murderer. And he, or she, or whatever it is, is after me. OK, I can deal with that, but who let him or her loose?

Then, this, this thing. That's nearly all mouth and teeth, starts chasing me. It's got a name. Devourer or something, I don't know, I'm too busy trying to get my brain to do something other than stare at it. It's all teeth, and mouth, or OK, there's more to it than that, but that's all I can focus on. A mouth. A mouth, with teeth. The whole darn head is a mouth, with teeth. Wide open. Who turned this thing loose? It was so unexpected, that, after my brain said "Oh, that's what I'm looking at", that I ran backwards, away from it, and was swinging at it, as fast as I could. Part of my brain says "Run away!" and part says "What?". The "Run Away" part won. At first. Who turned this nightmare loose on the sedate fields of WynnCraft? OK, I killed one of those, too.

But, let me ask you this: when was the last time that you met a clown? Was it a clown with a knife? A knife? It didn't have a knife, did it? I didn't think so. Clowns are supposed to have balloons. And big, floppy shoes. Not this bad-dream turned loose. It had a knife. And whatever were on it's feet, it could run with them. Run. Not walk. Not shuffle along. Run. And it followed me, chased me, actually, from where I was, somewhere near some witch's house, all the way to Olux. About, what, 15 million or so blocks? You think I'm exaggerating? Really? When one of those crazy clowns jumps out at you, from behind something, and you see what level the thing is, then remember what level you are, and you run for your life, because your best shot doesn't even bother it, then you can tell me how far I ran, OK? A doggone, crazed, smiling, clown. With a knife. Who invited it to the party?!

That clown wasn't clowning around. He/she/it/whatever was as bent on getting me as the wacko murderer and the Devourer. No, more so. Clown chased me all the way to the nearest town!

You must have been a higher level than I am, or using a much different build. I didn't even take the time to read anything else around his head, other than his level. Then I ran. Away.

Those things are in the Kander Forest, right? The clowns, I mean. Isn't Gelibord and Lexdale closer than Olux? Also, I didn't think the clowns were that hard to kill? All though that could have been the fact that I was using Bob's Mythic Wand and was level 75, but who knows.

I don't know where the Kander forest is, as it is not on the map. I was next to the Dark Forest. Gelibord and Lexdale are not on the map, either, as far as I can see, and I haven't been to either one, yet.

My second sentence: "I'm in a Lv60 area, and I'm Lv61." Yea, Mr. Lv75 with a Mythic Wand. I ran. In the other direction!

Ugh, that thing.... Here is my little lore on it.
I sighed in relief as daylight appeared before me. I had unlocked the cave! I had fought a Giant! No, I HAD KILLED A GIANT! I felt glory. I needed to show the evidence to my colleague quickly. I felt the need to be rewarded. Just then, I heard the sound of flames igniting. Turning round, I was face to face with a Flaming Skull. The skull stared at me and I stared back at it. I was not going to let this enemy ruin my day! Though, it did...
For hours on end... wait no, that's not right. For a few seconds it stood up against the might and determination of a mage wielding a weak level 39 staff and wearing two rings, an amulet, a bracelet and a set of armour which radiated with power (yes, I had a level 39 wand in the swamps at level 60. I now have a better wand thanks to the very same quest). Then it exploded as a meteor struck it straight between the eyes. As I looked at the fiery mess around me, near the Frog Slave Camp (I have a theory that the frogs are actually slaves to the people of Olux and were enchanted by a wizard), a dark shape loomed in the distance. It was clothed in black. Unhinged jaws rotated viscously. I looked aghast at the terrible creature. Where had it come from. I ran into the swamp, randomly firing meteors. Some missed their mark, as the agile assassin creature, which I afterwards named 'Devourer', dodged or outran my attacks. Others hit their mark and slowed the beast down. Eventually, when I was low on strength, I started casting fireballs at the monster. Suddenly, one fireball erupted into a gigantic explosion. There, before me, was left only ashes. Then I looked around me... I was alone in the swamp. Alone and afraid. Except, it seemed that the swamp was no longer a swamp. There were no Naga. No Hanja. No ogres or goblins. Just the moaning of the undead....
I ran from that dark place, barely escaping with my life. In the end, I found the person who sent me on the quest. He stared at me as I shook with fear for what I had seen. Wordlessly, after I handed over the remains of the giant which did not compare in fear to that foul creature, he handed me back one of them and the quest rewards, saying, "You may need those, while I have no use for them." I ran to Olux and wandered aimlessly, everyone giving me strange glances as if I had gone mad. Hours... or was it days? or weeks? or even months? Hours later I ran into a merchant. He specialised in weapons. He asked if I was alright and I said that I was fine. After I saw the concern on his face, I told him my haunted tale. He asked for the bones. I gave them to him. He then rummaged through a pack of weapons and came out with a white staff inlaid with gems. I took it, thanked him and walked away. I am now determined. If I should come across that beast again, I will be ready. I will cast it down and I will not be led astray deep into the swamps again... I hope.

Kander Forest is the actual name of the Dark Forest. I think it was revealed in some quest.

Actually, I think that was the name of the forest to the east of the Dark Forest, since the actual name of Dark Forest is Dark Forest according to Grian and the map.

The 'Friendly Clown', despite actually being very weak statwise, is unique in that it can appear pretty much anywhere from the Dark or Kander Forests. Heck, I've seen one skulking around in Cinfras once! Reminds me of the time when Lv 10 zombies could sometimes spawn in Detlas.

...now if only it weren't so pathetically weak for its level, then we'd have something to be scared about.

one friendly clown and one devourer for you i also met the lunatic but he wasn't really scary so i didn't make a screenshot of him.
so... the devourer is an uncomon mob in the area between the swamp and the dark forrest and there is also a cave full of something called escaped devourer. the clown i only saw once and he was pretty easy to kill.
