Quest Bugged? - The Maiden Tower

Hello there,

I'm currently doing "The Maiden Tower"-Quest and now I retrieved the "Black Veil" just as my Quest-Book told me but the Quest NPC doesn't want it, he still tells me to retrieve it.

Enter the tower and kill the cursed thing.

 

Wear black veil and enter tower and kill witch

Somebunny in da GM squad done goofed this one. If I'm supposed to wear the dang thang, somewear, someplace, somethang should tell me to! I guess I can throw away the 3 extra veils, seeing as how ol Erland doesn't care if I'm carrying it, or not? LOL

 

Is wearing a helmet not common sense? Especially when sent out of your way to retrieve it? I don't mean to be rude but really .-. Unless you were being sarcastic, in which case I apologize
That said, he probably should say something if you happen to be carrying it instead of wearing it.

 

It's such a bad helmet, with such bad properties, compared to what I had on, that it never occurred to me to put the thing on. No need to apologize, I'm the one that killed the critter 4 times before I checked the forums. "Duh, maybe dis one will werk?"

Yes, like, maybe, "Don't just stand there looking stupid! Put the helmet on, you fool!"

 

Yeah I agree. I understand that quest items can't be too spectacular, because otherwise no one would have actual armor, but why do they have to be so bad ;-;
At least making them decent gives them some use before rotting in a bank forever.
And I find it quite entertaining that your provided quote would actually fit perfectly into Wynn dialogue. Over half the NPCs speak like that anyway, so what's one more line? XD

 

Indeed, I just never wear any quest Items unless someone tells me.
