Negative Ids

No, this is not another rage thread. I just want to make sure that everyone knows that negative ids (with the exception of skill point negatives) actually do negative things. I currently have -9 mana steal. This only affects me if I do melee damage. Which means that I can't do both melee damage and spells (note: the item that did this is called 'The Judge' and is a helmet sold in Troms. It is quite useful because of melee damage AND spell damage increase, as well as health regen, but it does mean that you can't use both melee and spell damage, which is fine for me anyway). Of course, this is a bit of a problem if you have negative health regen or steal. If you get health regen or life steal negatives and you can't fix them, I would suggest stocking up on A LOT of health potions (or if you have negative health regen, get good life steal). I'm not sure but I'm assuming that negative poison actually heals mobs. Anyway, good luck to those who have negative loot bonus at finding mythics!

Well rip you XD. Also, I think I had negative fire damage or something fire related and I have more skill points in fire (well, actually the same as water but then I had negative intel).

 

I remember buying that helmet without noticing that. It sucked.

I tried fighting a boss that does water damage whilst having -100 water defence.

It doesn't matter if I'm invurnable against Thunder mobs, because I deal pretty much damage against them ;3 (I'm a water mage, surprised?)

Negative soul points actually gives a chance for you not to get any soul points when the sun comes along, it seemed like you didn't know that when you said

Skill points, not soul points. Though I didn't know that was how soul point regen worked.

So basically no xp or loot but awesome spell damage? Sounds like something useful when fighting bosses in quests (of course, best to take it off when the quest ends).

 

Yeah. My chestplate that I want to wear (Taurus) has -11 item hit tiers. I really hope it doesn't go past Super Slow. I also am using -30 health regen, which actually slowly lowers my health. I'm reliant on life steal to regen. I'm forced to be murderous.

 

Luckily I managed to find a helmet which is more based on my spell build instead of using up mana when I use normal attacks instead of spells. Sadly, some of my spell damage was sacrificed. And a bit of health too.
