The Perfect Build For Mages

Dexterity affects teleport btw (not that it's any good xD)

Also I've already taken to calling each skill point by its related element, I find its more helpful.
Also once I max out this Mage I wanna try another using max thunder max water, and going for a teleport spamming build

 

im focusing on fire water and earth since water is obvious for mana, fire is for that extra tankiness and earth is there cuz it both give u more damage in general and also meteor (mage's main attack) deals a lot of earth and some fire damage (cuz its a meteor).

 

I just have maximum Mana, Defense and currently investing in Agility. Who needs normal attack damage when you can just spam Meteor day & night?

 

This will seems strange, since everyoen is using waer ahahah xD..

I'm trying a Earth and Fire build based on spaming Meteor and using Ice Snake (to lower the MP used for meteor)
my stats are 46 STR and INT with 10 DEF, with some mana reg and steal i never run out of mana.

I'm using the wand summer ( high Fire dmg) but ithink that latter I'm gonna focus on STR and DEF and have the INT nessecary to cover my mana "problems"

Shooting for a build centered around the pisces helm (70 str/int req) and cascade (15 per stat req + -1 of every stat). Mainly as a cleric build that deals lots of damage really quickly

Today, we will be looking at the most suggested mage build there is!
First off, you obviously need lots of intelligence (To brag about) and also because it reduces mana usage!
Secondly, you'll need to have lots in defence aswell, as I personally like to be a tanky mage that also deals MASSIVE amounts of damage with meteor!
Lastly, you probably need some strength, just to enhance your meteor damage!

I go with a high intelligence and high strength, with a medium defense. A little bit of dexterity just cause of teleport damage. Im using 2 weapons currently, Olux's Prized Wand and Devoreuse. OPW has high earth and water damage and is my main wand, but Devoreuse has a +7/4s Mana Regen and has Mana Steal as well, so its a good combination.

 

all you have to do is get max intel, max dex, get gear that focuses on mana regen and dex, and use a thunder or water weapon

Lol just get mana steal and life steal and the pre-gavel immortal mage build becomes a reality again

 

I use air and water, mainly as I like scout classes.

 

I've got lots in intel (obviously) and half in dex/defense. I didn't really understand how the elements worked and thought thunder increased my attack speed. It's not bad though. I prefer mana steal over mana regen because it works really well with ice snake/poison.

 

Sounds a bit like mine except with less strength and defence and more intel. And it is actually bad to have lots of strength as mage because earth-related items reduce water-related ids, which mages need to be... well, a mage.

 

Actually I kind of edited this one, at level 100 it now has 28 strength, 100 intelligence, and 70 defense.

 

Just wondering, is it possible to have more than 100 with base skill points? Because some items require 110 points (at least, I've heard intel has them). Of course, I could use skill points to raise the skill points from 100 to 110 if I ever use these items but I might have to sacrifice something, though that is unlikely.

 

I got a level 49 mage now with like 55 intelligence and +7/4sec mana regen. It's insane how much I can spam spells.

 

Those items require other items to boost he skill over the 100 limit

 

Then I need to rethink me build slightly. I was going for 110 intel, 60 defence and 28 strength. I'll either go for the build you did or do 38 strength and 60 defence. It depends on if the item guide is up at some point when I look at it and if there are any useful high level items which require 70 defence.

 

I recommend the build I use, the only reason you want the 28 strength is so that your basic attacks will do more than 0 damage, any more than that is really just wasted skill points for a mage.

 

Not just that, it also affects spell damage. I only want to use 70 in defence if it allows me to use some good equipment, otherwise... well mage does need a bit of damage.
