Media Marked's Files Of Obscure Locations 4

Hi, I am Marked, and today I will take you to some of Wynn's more obscure locations.

Note: most location names are unofficial. Commentary goes below the relevant picture, not above.

Little Wood Cabin

There's not much to see on the cliffs overlooking the Time Valley. I've already made a file about a horse ranch there but there's one place that I think is a lot more interesting. Let me tell you a story.

I was at level 53 (54 now, so not much further) and really done with Wynncraft. I would have to wait for Gavel to get content again without grinding my ass off, and I've already gotten tired of doing dungeon runs. Without quests to do, I went to the little wood cabin. I had already found it once by chance, but wanted to re-visit it because it was such a nice location. A sign in the house said 'Gone to travel. -Martyn <3'. I had found a something to do again, a purpose. I would aimlessly wander the province, in search of all the locations I had never seen cause they had no involvement with quests. This is how my files began.

It wasn't until I had made half a dozen files that @FortyCave reminded me of the little wood cabin. This is where my journey began and I re-visited it to make a file about it.




The place is well-lit and has a small patch of wheat. I could live here.



According to the wiki, this location is a reference to a youtuber. His IGN is InTheLittleWood and his real-life name is Martyn. However, this file is about the cabin, not Martyn :P




It's a little cabin for sure, but it's very comfy. My theory is that this cabin is not just a reference to a youtuber, but Martyn is an actual person in Wynn (only explanation that doesn't completely break the fourth wall) that has gone to travel. A trace of him can't be found anywhere else in he province. Considering how he lives near the time valley, he might have travelled in time.



Martyn was alone in his cabin, there's only one chair at the table.



The back door leads to a small wheat farm.



There's some cobwebs in the ceiling, and bookshelves really high up. I don't know how anyone is supposed to reach those.



The fireplace is still burning.




The second floor is full of bookshelves. Martyn really likes to read.




One bed again confirms he lives alone. I don't know what's up with the ladder.



In the area near his cabin you can find little lights in the forest. Remind me to take a nighttime picture.

Ocean Potato Stash

Not too far from Pirate Town a tiny island can be found...





...and this tiny island has a big secret.




It's like the TARDIS: bigger on the inside.



This man probably has the most potatoes in all of Wynn and Gavel. He's not using it for trading purposes, so he's just obsessed with them.




Potato Imps can be found only here cause there is no other location with enough potatoes for them to survive. Besides rotten flesh there's a 1/40 chance he drops a rare potato.



The potato hoarder grows them himself, using the ocean water that comes in. Must be very salty potatoes, but he probably grows them here so he can make fries without having to add salt.

Failed Experiment

I've been very lazy lately, so I found a small location I could make a short file about.



I've been in this area lots of times but only recently noticed this very small cave entrance.




It wasn't easy to get a good screenshot of these mage remains. I say that because I obviously failed. There are 2 rattling and 2 crumbling mage remains. I wish there were any other hints as to what happened here, even a small crater or a brewing stand with ingredients next to it would've been nice. Anyways, this mage probably did some fancy magic that got himself killed.

This is my first file with commentary below the pictures instead of the above. I will do the same for the other files later.

 

The ladder is probably supposed to be a strange looking shelf.

 

Or the ladder is used for when he gets up, so he can grab it and help him up.

 

I still think he has either gone through the time door OR...
He has gone to Gavel! :DD

 

That little house has stumped me too, but its mere existence can be used for a bunch of theories!

How?

 

He talks about the wynncraft website. He's like use the map (link) if you get lost! Or something like that. It's when you first meet him.

 

I've made my first files since the Gavel update! It's not in Gavel though :P

I'll have to re-make all my files with the new texture pack :S

 

There is a cave near the Dernal Jungle entrance closest to the Great Bridge ( I can add coordinates later if you need them) that contains a rather large number of level 50-60 mobs, if you continue in, you will find a very interesting artifact in the central chamber, might be worth checking out.

 

I would very much like those coordinates.

 

I can get them for you when I get on this afternoon, right now I'm busy with stuff IRL.

 

I've got two more suggestions if you're out of them:
(The map isn't working so I'll just say where it is)
There's a prison-like building near Ternaves, wich is only accesible via the backyard.
Also, there's a strange house at the very east of the Desert, recognizable because of its flag. I'm not saying more though, that would spoil the surprise waiting inside ;)

 

Someone already recommended the second building to me and I've checked it out :D

 

Okay, the approximate coordinates of the cave entrance are -570, 66, -612, just as a hint the item of interest is imbedded in a pile of slime in the large chamber at the back of the cave, also pay attention to the mobs that surround only this one spot.

Btw the admins said a long while ago that Martyn and Chimneyswift were going to be included in the main storyline, which isn't out yet. So yeah, they're gonna be people

 

You should check the prison in Wynn out (I believe it's new). It's very near Ternaves,
