I Shouldnt Be Banned

I shouted that anyone who msged me a number 1-100 would win 10 stacks of LE and CrazyForCocoa guess the number correct. BUTTTT, I told him to meet me at the dungeon and then shouted that someone still has a chance to beat him to the prize if they got here and completed the spider dungeon would win. I obviously shouldn't be banned for scamming. Crazy states that I should because I didn`t give him the LE, but in fact, someone else beat him to the prize. I don`t know what he is thinking, it may be the prize messing with him.

Okay.
First off, how you wrote this post to almost frame the winner would seem like you're the one that's "messed" with.
But that aside, when making something like this, you MUST GIVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION. Changing the rules at the last second is a form of scamming, as you're "cheating" past the rules that you made yourself.

 

This isn't a matter of should and shouldn't, considering you did not explain all the details. You left people in the dark and did not give the person who won the first specified detail the money the won.

Let's say Ben tells Lily he will give her candy if she can run faster than him to a tree. Nearly through the race, he shouts "Last one to the tree wins!" While Lily is almost at the tree, in fact just touched it, Ben wins on his own rules.

That is a bait and switch, which is what you did. Or scamming. By making a post in the wrong section and with a lack of understanding, I can say with wholehearted confidence, you should be banned.

Also, moderators, please don't delete this thread so it can be an example of just what we consider scamming.

And I didn`t change the rules at the last second, I shouted literaly 10-25 seconds after I told him he guessed correct.

 

The timing doesn't matter as long as you riding explain everything. You shouted out that somebody else can win the emeralds AFTER you told somebody that they can win. You said "Guess a number for 10 LE" in a sense and immediately said "But you can win the things I told this guy he gets instead of him." in a dumbed-down sense.

CrazyForCocoa should have gotten the prize. Plain and simple.

What happened (I believe):
1. You shouted: Anyone who msgs me the correct number (picked somehow) from number 1-100 would win 10 stacks of LE
2. CrazyForCocoa guessed the correct number.
3. Told him to meet you at the dungeon. (This is where he's so happy that he won and he is like OMG. :D)
4. You shouted: Someone still has a chance to beat him to the prize if they get here and completed the spider dungeon. (This is where Cocoa get's angry and thus makes the 1-100 thing pointless.)
5. Someone else gets the prize that Cocoa should have gotten? (?) (I don't know if you already gave the LE to that other person, so.)
6. You get banned for scamming. Seems fair.

 

But did someone else get the prize, did CrazyForCocoa get the prize, or did you not give the prize, or did you not have 10 stacks of LE?

You didn't get banned for scamming, but you got banned for lying.

 

YOU SHOULD NOT BE BANNED:
1. I heard you did not have the 10 stacks of LE.
2. Because you didn't, it was just a plain joke.
3. How is it scamming, you're not trading for anything?
4. PLAIN JOKE gets you banned wtf?! How can a stupid JOKE get you BANNED???

 

I'd highly doubt anyone would actually think they'd get 10 stacks, seriously? Thats just stupid on their part.

I had a dog named Cocoa. He died 5 years ago. He was very crazy, and liked to bite anyone he saw and could reach.

Besides, just TELLING someone they'd get 10 stacks of LE is kinda a scam. You're wasting their time in Gavel by having them travel ALL the way to the spider dungeon (I think it was spider?) just to be told "you don't get the prize because someone beat the dungeon before you got here." Just... Just no.

 

Also, this wasn't a deal, this wasn't a trade. This wasn't a transaction of any sorts.

I know a friend who has 132 stacks.

What I said was:
"I'd highly doubt anyone would actually think they'd get 10 stacks."
Meaning why would they think they would get 10 stacks from a stranger for answering a simple question.

1. You did actually scam him and cheated your own rules, he won the challenge fair and square yet you make another rule which creates a complication, as for all we know he could grinding somewhere in gavel.

2. Nobody actually 'beat' him to the prize. He should of got the prize first but you stuffed with him and now he's angry because he thinks you scammed him (which you did.)

3. Wrong section buddy, stop whining in the Wynncraft section and go post a ban appeal and get a mod to look at it.

Bottom line, you scammed him.

The Transaction was 10 stacks of le for winning a contest, when he went to claim the prize the transaction didn't take place, and Salty tried doing the same thing to other people. That's how this is scamming, Salty promised he'd pay the money and didn't go through with it.
