Shattered Minds: How To Get To 2nd Floor Of House Or Pass The 'find Civilization' Objective

So looking around I've seen that other people seem to be having issues with this quest just like me, and the same issue as well: Getting to the boss.

I've looked and tried all the solutions they have mentioned but still can't reach the 2nd floor, I am just getting the 'It seems rude to barge into someone's house'. I've talked to I think every NPC, I've talked to Lineru? and done the whole 'talk to him/her then change servers' trick and still aren't getting anywhere.

Is my quest book supposed to update after reaching the little village in the trippy forest and say something other than 'try to find civilization'? Did I miss a region somewhere or something?

I'd really like some actual help with this and not just people repeating what I've already heard. I want to finish this bloody quest and be done with it so I can get on with my life.

Oh, and the teleporter platform thing after the parkour, was I supposed to talk to the baby villager NPC there? I also ended up with 2 of the blue mushroom quest items and threw 1 away, would that have caused an issue?

 

You need both mushrooms, I had this same problem. Just use /fixquests, get your mushroom, then talk to Lineru? and then you can go into the house. After that it's pretty easy.

 

Many thanks~ Unfortunately for me though, the /fixquests gives me the purple crystals from Wynn Excavation Site B and the water from the Taproot quest. Which sucks. I do have 1 of the mushrooms, but I threw the 2nd one out like an idiot. Could that be what's interfering?
