Ok then, I won't ask! So am I like technically your "mortal instrument" and like tell me to do stuff? Because I still have a quest to do

 

"Well, we did give YOU the defective models... Hehehe, but Gargantuan isn't as advanced as they were before we bombed them, we destroyed all their factories, so they can't destroy it unless they they have a photon cannon, which they don't anymore."

 

"No, you're done asking questions. You stay out of this, or you'll find out if I'm a liar."

"You tricked us? Ah, that can't be our focus now... I don't know if we can handle the war. On topic of war, where is your brother? I don't recall him saying how long he'd be gone..."

I guarantee you that won't be the only connection. There are already hints planted that may pop up later... whether people find them or not? Not my concern.

"Well a war hasn't happens YET! But it seems like it will soon, which is why the Emeraldonian and Brisin have need to work together to beat back these, these, monsters that keep invading from the No Mans Lands, which is why we need the machines inside the vault, so we can rebuild Emeraldonia, and keep invaders from doing the same thing that happened to my people 10,000 years ago, oops, I sorta rambled didn't I, well my brother never said when, I mean, we have no clue where the other 4 relics are, and if they are still in possession of the last 4 families..."

 

"So defense will be a problem, and your brother might be gone a while... What about the rifts? Can we confirm what came out of them?"

 

"No idea, I've some, and I can't confirm this, when I was in Brisingr, nice place by the way, I saw a, large rift, with what looked like a giant jumping out of it, if this is what we are facing, were fine in the air." I say as I walk to my Pod-Flier.

 

"Air superiority is good. If more come, we'll need to be ready."

A flash in the distance catches your eye.

 

"Hmmm, well we aren't gettin air support, most of these are burried in the vault (OOC: remember, Emeraldonia isn't a nation anymore, so there is no military or cities anymore), which is why we need to get there before any of the other nations do." I say to Jefery. "Hey! Workers! Check what's over there!"
(EDIT: I now realize you wear the talking about Pod-Fliers...)

 

"Then we best hurry up. I..."
A shadow passes over you.
"...something's watching."

 

"Just hop in the secondary cockpit, and man the Electric Turrets in the back when I tell you to. You do know how to man the turrets right?"

 

"Yeah, I do... Though if we can't unlock it, what's the point?"

 

"Don't worry, I have the keys. And just in case we run into any Dragons, or giant seagulls..." I say as I pull the keys out of my pocket

 

OOC: also the rift is in the Central Plains near the Village of Norfolk.
"Well... Let's see what else I have in my bag." I say as I rummage through my saddlebag. "My savings, my cloak, my bandana, oh? A letter from Mom? I'll read that later, a bag of chocolates, save that for later. My map, and my firebox. (It's a box with flammable materials and a lighter that can be used to start fires)

 

"I meant the... never mind."

Sorry, trying to determine where you start...

 

"Yeah yeah I realize that Jefery, just strap in and hope we don't get killed, lame check the map." As I look at the map the Vault seems to be at Gremihm Mountain. "This is gonna be at least an hour ride, so get ready for boredom!"

 

"That sword sounds both interesting and dangerous... I guess we'll try to find that first." I then fly into the air so that I can see the ground from above to look for the sword.
