Lord Of The Clock, Quest

I'm in the middle of doing "The Lord of The Clock" quest, and I've noticed a problem. Now, I haven't tried anything but I want to make sure that I don't do much wrong.

I'm on my Assassin, and when I'm in Mt. Wynn, I have to drop down to the bottom of the volcano. Before the Gavel update, this wasn't a problem, but since there is fall damage, I think I might die.

Can someone help me? Is there a way to avoid dropping down? Or do we not take fall damage is the volcano? Anyways, does anyone have any ideas?

 

You never were supposed to do that. There is a pathway leading down to the bottom; once you reach the bottom, you do the parkour made of debris to get to the next area.

Well, that's the only path as far as I can tell that you can get back up with.
