Lazarus Pit, How To Get Into Basement

so i've made it to the place told by the graveyard, i made it to the roof, and it now says i need to get inot the basement, but i cant for the life of me figure it out, I have put items on the pressure plates on the ground, havent heard any pistons anywhere, havent found any buttons, levers etc, so i was wonderng if I would get some help on this quest.

In the house nearby that tower, theres a ladder. Climb that ladder and step on the pressure plate. Do some parkour to end up with some colored clay. These are the color codes in a way for the 3x3 Button thing outside that house

 

The buttons aren't working, i wrote down the pattern, and tried it several times.
It won't work. Help please.

i don't understand what its asking me to do in the color code thing, i saw the top was yellow green blank middle was red yellow purple bottom was purple red green but i don't understand what order it wants me to press them in

 

You just need to press them in pairs. Like: If you pressed a button that had the red color you need to press the other whit the same color!

Yeah, I've been having trouble with this quest as well, just AFTER you get into the basement. I don't know where to go, to "walk beyond the wandering man." There's an NPC, but there isn't any type of passageway near him, or any apparent key to open one.

 

I have to say, DAMN this quest is worth it. It got me from about 15% at level 69 to 50% on level 70. Just... wow.

 

What are the cords to the buttons?

 

He so the basement doornis not opening for be and i dont know what else to do i did the code and it still wont open and the buttons are not working anymore. I am so confused

 

Yeah, I've been trying to do the code for the past 10 minutes or so now on two different servers - without further success.

Edit: Switched around the servers and found it to be working at last :)
