Hey, it's not such a tragedy. Real life and holidays are fun too, they don't typically happen often and you can always play when you come back - pretty much any day :)

 

I know, and I'm grateful to spend the holidays with my extended family who I only get to see every few years... but why did Salted have to pick December of all months?

I'm with you, I have to go on holiday RIGHT on the day of the supposed "release date."

 

I feel your horrific pain...I've also got vacation and stuff coming up. Don't be too bummed out though, because with Gavel being such a massive update, there's bound to be some major lag issues within the first few days following the release (I think even the admins said so themselves). Even if you arrive late to Gerbil, at least you won't have major lag problems taking a big shit on your gameplay experience! (I know, I'm so cheerful)

 

I'll miss it too! I'll be busy on my vacation to Gavel for the holidays! Oh wait...

 

The update itself doesn't have any lag issues, it's the MASSES of computers connecting to one machine from all over the world in an unexpected surge that causes the lag :)
