Community Request: Door Of Time Theory

Until I get my Roots of Corruption Theory going, I asked people what Theory I should to next. So, upon popular vote, here it goes. A theory about Time Valley, The Door Of Time, and the Little Woods.

So, before I begin, I do want to point out that many things in Wynn have duel purposes. The matlic well if for the quest, but also for the bat ears. Ect. I know the Little Woods are entirely meant to be a Yogscast Reference, but in this theory, I am going to assume it has another purpose as well...

Also, I made this theory in part both on my Dern post and on another guy's post about the Sealed letters. (Sorry, I don't have the guys name or the link, but someone can comment it if they have it). But since so many people requested it, I am making it into a full theory.

So now I want to make a quick little Table of contents, so you guys know what I am talking about in this theory (It can get very confusing)

• Provinces leaking into other provinces
• Doors
• Nilrem?
• Time Travel

So, lets get right to it!

To make my point clear, I am theorizing that behind the door to time is another province. Now there are more than 3 provinces, so please don't try to use that as an excuse.

There seems to be a thing where things from once province leak out into another. Goblins (Perhaps) and Villagers from Gavel. Beasts and Eggs from Dern (just go with it) are just some examples. Time seems to slow in time valley, the area around the door of time. Perhaps that's the magic of the province leaking out.

Also, like come one, the other big freaking door leads to another province, why not this one?

So now to the deep stuff. Bob. Before his death, he sent a letter to his friend Nilrem. Now, Nilrem unscrambled is Merlin. And where do we see the word Merlin elsewhere? We don't! But we do see the name Merlyn. Now... Where his Merlyn/Merlin/Nilrem? Well I am assuming they are all the same person.

In the little house in the Little Woods, we have this sign:
"Gone to travel <3 -Martyn"

So what does this mean? Well, we have journeyed all across the province and found no sign of this man, so what if he is in a different province? Since his house is behind the door of time, why not assume he went through the door and got, as I like to put it, lost in time?

So ok, you might be saying to yourself "time travel is impossible... What the heck man?"

And I say to you, are you even lvl 32? Christmas Chaos, a quest I talk about a lot for a lot of different reasons. You go back in time and forward in time.


So there you have it folks, a big door, a missing man only mentioned twice, and a leak in magic!

Interesting theory... The door of time could lead to another province, but what type? Where? And I don't think there's space for another province behind it since there's the Pigman ravine, so the door could teleport you somewhere? Maybe to this "time" province?

Also, the door could be a way to the future, for example...

When the door opens whoever goes inside goes to the future, can do quests there, meets the NPCs that he/she met before. But like 60 years later. But that means Selchar is corrupted.

 

Nice theory, but I'm pretty sure that grian said that the door of time doesn't lead to gavel a new province. (But I don't blame you for not knowing that, because that was most likely wiped along with the rest of the forums in 'the great forum reset of 9/7')

What mob or living entity most closely associated to time travel? My first guess is enderman. And seeing as "Nilrem" had a station set up near the doors, could he have been conducting research on the doors? Maybe he made the doors.

I don't know much about Dern lore but maybe Nilrem was working on a way to gain access to Dern and created a portal that leaks enderman teleport magic.

Now for those of you who don't know a lot about physics, gravity is an odd force. At a certain distance, gravity no longer pulls, it pushes. It's inversely proportionate.

What if enderman "stuff" works the same? With small amounts it decreases speed instead of teleportation.

No but legit, I am a theorist, my contribution to the community is making theories

Not Dern but you should still consider it to be like a province.

Ok, now I appreciate the thought but I am SO done with Dern. There are more provinces than just Wynn, Gavel, and Dern. I was saying this would lead to a province of time.

Also, as Endermen have proven to be both Dernian and Wynnian, it's not a good spot for evidence...

Exactly. There could be 4, 10, 50, or a thousand. My theory here was about the door of time leading to a time-related province

I like the Idea. But remember, the only confirmed location of a province is North of Wynn, the West could easily house a time province

 

Ahhh, ok. Thanks for the clarification. It was a stretch but I felt it was worth bringing up.

We should call the time-travel province, DeLorean.

2 more things:

1) My coming into to community revolved around Dern, so although you may not know much about the lore, I garentee that I would give a heads up before doing anything Dern related again

2) IDK if you meant to or not, but it sounds like you were referencing the mages lore with the teleportation magic. I just wanted to say if you are, don't. It comes from the unofficial wiki, so we can't count it as truth

 

Alrighty. I'll be sure to avoid anything Dern related. Sketchy stuff, that Dern lore.

And I wasn't referencing the Mages lore. I just came up with it during English class.

 

Lol I came up with my wynncraft logic is wrong while in English class.

English class: where you think about everthing but English

 

We are watching Moby Dick so I have whales and wynncraft logic and sailing and lots of other random things, floating around in my head. It leads to some creative thinking though so I guess it's a double-edged sword.

 

Wait, crap. I didn't mean to say Gavel. I typed that when I had just woke up, so my bad. What I meant to say was that grian (or salted, i cant remember which one said this) had already said that the door of time doesn't lead to a new province (There were a lot of threads about the door of time around the time that they said this.)

And unfortunately I can't really back this up with any evidence because (from what I remember) they said this in the reply to a random theory that got wiped along with the rest of the forum.

So ultimately what i'm saying right now doesn't really hold any value and i'm just wasting your time.

What if it's involved in a questline where the player is thrown back in time and witnesses the start of Corruption in Wynn, and the player may actually be the one who started it?

Maybe it could send the player into the future, where, without the players aid, Wynn crumbles under the corruption. The player must then find a way to get out of this horrific future, and stop what causes it?

or maybe I'm thinking about craftmas chaos too much...

 

Ohmygosh. That would be so cool but yet so depressing. The player got sent back in time to see what caused the corruption, but instead, the player caused the corruption!
But I do believe we got an explanation on why Wynn is corrupt in WynnExcavation D?

 

I haven't done WE D yet, so I don't know what it says about corruption in Wynn. Just throwing some ideas out there with my knowledge though.
