Story: So, I recently completed The House of Twain and I traded with someone, then, I killed a villager and he dropped a fedora! @Moe_Ronickah told me how much was it worth and I sold it to someone, turns out, I accidentally sold my Ghost Cap xD. then I gave him the real one and he gave me another LE...

 

A fedora's worth is very varied, as it's pretty useless stat-wise, but just nice because it's a fedora. I probably wouldn't buy one for that much, but eh. XD

A while back, with the changes to Emeralds showing their value, I was walking around Detlas with my Ghost armour on. This guy messages me saying he wants to buy my Ghost Pants for an LE. I deny, since Ghost armour is special to me. He then says he'll buy the pants for 4 LE, so I obviously say yes. After this, he wants to buy my cap, and further armour pieces for other extreme prices. I think this is a little suspicious, but sell them anyway (I get around 17 LE off this guy). After walking back to Twain Mansion to buy a new set, something tells me to check the LE he gave me. Upon checking it, it's the old LE (seeing as the update was recent, I didn't realise as I was used to the old emeralds). Luckily, I knew you could trade these in for the real ones. The guy must have thought all LE were made useless, and wanted to trick me into giving away expensive armour for nothing. I messaged him, and said "I see now that you gave me the old LE for my ghostly armour. Jokes on you, I can trade these in for real LE" to which he only replied with "WHAT!?". I'm guessing this guy ragequitted for his extreme idiocy, but from that I earned about 10 free LE.

 

Something similar happened to me once. A random guy in Detlas was saying: "Buying any type of horse for 2 LE!", to which I responded: "Even Brown tier?" and he said yes. So I ran over to Ternaves, bought a Brown horse and sold it to him for 2 LE. After the trade he messaged me saying "Ha! That LE is useless, you can't use it for anything" and so I went on to explain that you can trade them in for EB and then convert them into the new LE. He just left after that without saying anything. Poor guy :/ I was gonna offer him to trade back but he left before I got the chance >.<

That, I don't know. The Item Guide is maintained by admins, but it is in the Wiki, which is community edited. Maybe someone is trying to keep them a secret, or maybe someone just forgot to add them in? If they don't show up with the forum update when Gavel comes out, then it's probably a conspiracy to hide them.

It doesn't matter how hard you try, nor what level you are, one of the four depressing weapons seems to never be obtainable. It's almost as if it were coded that way . . ..
