I'll be perfectly honest and most likely be the first one to speak up about this publicly and semi-permanently set here (before a mod removes this or some shit), practically all of you like to spam that like button for some reason. Hell, I've seen stuff that's actually not even that good (that doesn't even hit the standard of "so bad it's good" or "fucking amazing") and y'all still like it. I honestly don't understand you guys. This is a forum, where you can post whatever you want (as long as it isn't completely retarded and PG13), yet you guys apparently enjoy mediocrity and you're arguing over a fucking newspaper? Look at the wider world, there's like 5 sets of newspaper everywhere in each state of America, yet they're not arguing like you guys, they're just trying to do their jobs.

Bring up more topics of discussion. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if you kids complain about SmashBox, since it's news that still involves the community. Giveaways? Sure, whatever. Kinda overused and overhyped, all you guys are praying that the RNG Gods will eventually smile upon you (believe me, you don't know real RNG until you play Pokemon competitively). As a community, we want to know more about the forums, more about what's going on, hell, more about gaming in general. As teens (or whatever age you are), we want to know more about the forums, explore the bits and pieces that we've never seen before. Interviewing members may be apart of this, but that's only if they do something extremely major eg win a slot in Gavel Beta Testing.

You might as well consider this to be like Featured Wynncraftian. We want to know about people we don't know, parts of the forums we've never explored thoroughly before. Filling us with the scoop that we already fucking know about isn't exactly what news stations do. News stations give recognition where it really needs some (eg major elections, random part shitting on social media for some reason, etc). That was the problem with Featured Wynncraftian, they recognised those that already got a shit ton of popularity, and fed them more popularity. I've already spoken my opinion on what popularity can do to people, and I'm not gonna state it again. The FW about DumplingSoup? That was exactly what we wanted. We learned about what she did, why she deserved recognition, and some of her gaming history. As members of the forums, we want to know about someone. We want to learn how they got there, why the did it, and why they haven't gotten much recognition.

Now for me to point out something: Who knows about The Game Awards 2015? Who knows what game won the overall GOTY 2015? It's a topic that's been criminally unspoken of here on the forums. I've seen a whopping 0 threads recognising this ceremony. We're all gamers, we should care about other games other than Minecraft. If you only worship Minecraft as your game of choice to be a "gamer", I'll just consider you to be another "Minecraft Kid". News series should acknowledge these sorts of things, to bring us knowledge of other things about gaming. Except you're too scared to add it in, fearing that no one would really take interest, so you stick to that same mindset of Wynn-related News only. Hell, since I mainly played Smash Bros, I considered myself as a "Smasher", since my knowledge on other games wasn't exactly broad enough.

Yet I chose to play other games.

Yet I chose to take interest in other things.

Yet I still got told that I knew nothing about Wynn and non-Smash related shit (you know who you are, Z.)

This is what you "news stations" should do; bring is a variety of information. As the people that read the news, we want to know more. We want more topics of discussion to talk about with our friends. This ultimately helps us in social situations about life. What can we say with a mindset that only knows of Wynn, and absolutely nothing else? What can we do when we consider ourselves "gamers", yet don't even know some of the greater games out there? Many of you people develop depression here for some reason, claiming that your friends don't want to talk to you, claiming that you're getting ignored, claiming that your parents don't/won't care. No shit that's going to happen, if you can't even socialize with other people and only know about the very basic things here, being afraid of talking about new things. Get out there, talk about things, learn about new things with your mates. That fixes things. This can partially be prevented if we find people to talk about it with (in real life), and if you, the news providers, actually provide this content.


Now stop fuckin' arguing like idiots and talking about claiming shit. Maybe work on improving instead of bitching and staying at the level of standard mediocrity you're at right now.

no wonder not a lot of people post in the ¨Other Games¨ Section. And I mean, I totally agree with you! We have to start taking the chance, doing more things, better things. We can still talk about Wynn, but we need other things. Socializing is a very important thing in life, and everyone needs to no how to do it, now we can get out there and do stuff, or sit here. And I still like the wynncraft news shit, but we have to change. In a good way. I agree with Gartato here. We have to stop arguing and start learning. I don´t give a shit if you lost all your money in wynncraft, remember it´s just a game! If wynncraft is all you do, then go get a life. Thanks

Dunno about you but this seems to be for bringing us information about wynncraft. Why the fuck would I come to this section for news about other games? I don't come here for news about smash, battlefield 4, world of tanks, civilization 5, etc. Sure, I don't mind a discussion about other games, but are you really going to rant about a wynncraft info thread not talking about non-wynn games? The wynncraft section has 1,160 discussions and 17,640 messages, and the other games section has 101 discussions and 1,617 messages, which seems to show where the main interest of these forums. Instead of ranting about news series not bringing us news about other games. If anything, you should be encouraging players to be more active in the "Other Games" section. Also you mention that we're all gamers, we should care about other games than Minecraft. Some people just enjoy only Minecraft, and I'm pretty sure the majority of Wynncraft players are people who consider Minecraft their main game. There's nothing saying we have to acknowledge all other things about gaming.
(This whole section could be ignored if you only meant "Important" things outside of wynn be involved, like GOTY 2015 or new games announced, etc. But even then I feel like it would be out of place and would belong in the other games or nemracts bar section.)

If someone actually cared about wanting more topics of discussions, maybe they shouldn't be sitting on their ass waiting for some news thread on the wynncraft forums to feed them info? Maybe capslock warning THEY CAN TAKE ACTIONS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, GOOGLE ISN'T HARD, THERE ARE GAMING NEWS SITES. IF SOMEONE'S FRIENDS AREN'T TALKING TO THEM, MAYBE THEY COULD, YA KNOW, LOOK FOR TOPICS TO DISCUSS.

To be fair, @PillowPet's first Wynn News was well received as well. Along with that, they had been planning on doing a comic strip section, but didn't have enough space to do so in Wynn News because of image space issues.

First off, why are 1/5 of the threads in the wrong section? They should be in the Questions forum.
Already pointed out that giveaway threads are banned, but apparently we all forgot about that rule.
So what you're saying is that we basically let the Other Games section die (it's quite literally dead right now), so then we never know about the outside world? We might as well remove the half of the forum that isn't based on Wynncraft then idk. We might as well let every member here start to get depressed because all their friends/peers are calling them nerds, idiots, etc. But hey, that's for the people to decide if they want to spend all eternity on forums and not give a fuck about education and stuff.

I probably should've been more clear on this, but you were saying that info outside of wynn should be involved in these news threads, the point I'm trying to make is that there are other sections for them, but as you said, they're "dead." Maybe if people posted news about other games in those sections, they wouldn't be dead? I'm quite sure that bring info about other games into the wynncraft section would just leave those dead sections, well, even more dead.

Well yeah, I would assume that one would be called a nerd/idiot if they decide to spend all of their time on the wynncraft forums. Not really sure what this part is here for.
