Double Xp For Vip Feedback!

I think the sheep thing isn't smart at all:
1) First of all, the reason why you are doing this is so you can get more donations for the server to stay, imagine if 4 people are always playing together, with double xp for 1 person, if one gets vip, the others will also want to buy vip, but with the sheep they won't buy vip cause they already have the bonus
2) Second, the reason why it is winning in votes is just because there are more non-donors than donors, I know that some donors also want the sheep, but mostly the people who voted for the sheep will probably never buy vip and that is the reason why you would bring these back
3) Third, if you have such a sheep active, people will come to you and irritate you, follow you and steal your XP
4) Also the pet is always in your face and block your attacks and archers would even ride it when they would want to shoot

Also, the people who don't donate don't get affected by this, they shouldn't say it is unfair because it is a PVE environment, they don't have any disadvantages if donors get double xp and it is even good for them because the server will be sponsored

 

1) Did you even read the predicament Salted laid out for us? The Golden Sheep also gives the non-donors a taste of what being a donor is like, therefore they donate to the server to get their own Golden Sheep.

2) Golden Sheep is a fair choice in everyone's eyes. Refer to what I said above.

3) You're thinking about the noobs who don't care about other people when it comes to XP. Think about the rational noobs. They know how to respect the Donors by letting them do their XP grinding and doing their own XP grinding in another spot that's in the radius of the effect. If the irrational noobs come to irritate the Donors and steal their XP, said Donors would just threaten to leave and make sure they don't have the boost in XP.

4) Though having the sheep blocking your attacks is a possibility, Salted said that you won't ride the Golden Sheep. You can still get a pet out, but you can only ride your pet. Not the Golden Sheep.

 

he means that when like 5 friends are playing with eachother only 1 has to buy vip and all the rest can benefit form it. so less people have to buy vip. it's not like they can just kill 1 or 2 mobs with it like you mean with "a taste of it" they can just use it all the time. also keep in mind that the goal of this is to let MORE people buy vip and not give vip perks to everyone

about 3) you would be surprised how much people would actually folow someone just for the xp. not just noobs that don't know anything about the game but everyone that wants to lvl fast and abuse it.

I think that the pet idea is definitely the best of the ideas Salted presented. However, I think that while XP can be hard to get at higher levels, I think that being a VIP or being around a VIP should definitely not give you an XP bonus on quests, but also I think XP is something that everyone should have to get the same amount of. I think that instead of giving a flat XP bonus the pet should increase the chances of an easy and rewarding mission or something similar to a mission. This way, you still have to earn your XP but you gain it significantly faster.

 

Bringing back Damaging Pets is an amazing idea, please do bring that back in Salted ;)

 

Attack I'd say is better. Picking up items isint that good inless you on a tall tower killing mobs under u, that would be the only perk to it

 

What I meant was that those 4 non-donor friends will have to get Donor, because they can't just wait for that one friend to get on and give them the boost for every day they play Wynncraft.

 

guys I think I found a really good solution!
my idea is based of the fact that non-vips would like to get a bonus, but vip(+) still want to get something extra.
so here is my plan:
VIP ranks now get a standard 1.5 multiplier with there rank
VIP+ would get the multiplier for the vip rank but also a golden sheep pet. this pet adds 0.50 to your multiplier!
In this way non vips will get a 1.5 around to sheep but the vips will get 2.0! this means that non vips get a bonus but they see that vips get even a bigger bonus so they actually have a reason to buy a rank! however to stop the spam and annoying folow players have to be in a party to make use of the bonus

That is a very good idea, vips get a bonus and vip+ gets a bonus for their party

 

The Golden Sheep pet idea is actually a really great work around for the EULA... Good job team! I'm in favor of the golden sheep hands down

 

I guess, but I know of servers that do do regular subscription fees and manage to get round the EULA, even though they aren't officially their own games company.
Plus the perks offered by servers aren't really that different to other games companies; extra locations and content, bonus rewards and easier leveling.

I think it could also be something to do with MC server donations in general, if from the start some server had started doing a subscription fee, and it was successful, other server owners would have possibly perceived it as a working model for donations and the others would follow (even though most people/players would probably be really opposed to it) But hey, I'm not a businessman/admin I really don't know anything about this topic ;D

 

First of all, that's rude, you could of worded that a bit more politely.
Secondly, I'm just pointing out that its unfair that players who put just as much, or more time into the game, will have to play double the amount of time to experience the same content as players whose parents spoil them (or the rare 0.1% that actually buy it for themselves).

Its more of an 'equal rights' thing. :P

 

@Salted. I agree with that, but some people still miss out. What about if VIP's can choose to enable the sheep, so people that don't want to share, don't have to. But for those who want to help people they can. And it could bring extra income for VIPs, because people might ask them to release the sheep and come with them for some moneys.

 

If I haven't said this before, I'm pretty sure this vote's biased....
I'm pretty sure the non-VIPs are voting for the sheep option, so they get the XP bonus without paying for it.

you use them.....
they can be spammed.....

Although I like the idea with the attacking pets and the golden sheep. You should add that, because the double exp from the sheep helps everyone! ;D

 

In my opinion, and this is coming from a VIP, The Golden Sheep is the best solution, and it benefits all players, including Non-VIPS. I don't get why the hell all of you are complaining about how these Non-VIPS will harass you in any way just because you have that Golden Sheep. Most wouldn't. I get Messaged by random players frequently with questions if I'm going to give them free stuff, money, or throw an XP Bomb. Those messages will be in the same form as if they were asking for a Golden Sheep. What I do is not listen to them, they'll give up their index fingers eventually. If one starts to constantly spam you, you can report it on the forums and the mods can take care of them. It all depends on the player, and most players wouldn't be Toxic enough to do that. You're not much better than those spammers if you're going to complain about a few kids messaging you one of these questions once in a while.

We need to give VIPs a benefit that wouldn't give them an unfair advantage, it would help benefit wynncraft in the long run for players and expenses.

 

Actually, its equal rights that if i donate to the server, i have a adavantage in a PVE Game

 

I wouldn't like it to be implemented but maybe make it so that everyone always has double xp when near a V.I.P

 

There are a lot of VIPs without the tag here though, like me.
So, your thread there doesn't reach to all of the Vips, but only the old ones, who /forum'd back when it worked.
