Undertale

How good is it? I have been hearing about it and was wondering if I should get it. Also, I was wondering if there any *scary* parts in it as I am very susceptible to scary things in a bad way.. ;-; don't ask..

 

It's a really fun game, derpy at times. The atmosphere may be a bit creepy, but the only scary part is the Jumpscare at the end of the Genocide Path. It's really pointless, as you'd have to kill every monster in the game, so don't worry about it!

 

Undertale is an amazing game that I'd recommend to practically anyone, it not only contains a good storyline, choices and characters, but it's selfaware. It uses this not only to add atmosphere, but to add comedy.

There are very few scary parts. There's a scary atmosphere at times, as well as a jumpscare at the end of a "Genocide" run, but other than that it's fairly friendly.

At the end of a "True Pacifist" run, go back to the start. All of the way, from New Home, Hotland, Waterfall, Snowdin and even the Ruins, to the place where you started Undertale. There, in the bed of golden flowers, you'll find someone special.

Well, judging from the strange entries, written in the font themselves (and we know that characters can speak in fonts, as demonstrated by Sans and Papyrus) as well as the "Gaster Followers" speaking about him, I think it's safe to assume that "W.D. Gaster" means "WingDings Gaster".

In one of the translated messages, what is thought to be Gaster mentions at the end "What do you two think?". This is suspected to be Sans and Papyrus. Why? Let's look at some evidence:
1. W.D. Gaster is one of the 3 Characters who speaks in font, so it would be obvious he'd hang out with the 2 other Font-Speakers.
2. One of Sans's Attacks is named "Gaster Blaster", so he must have some relation to Gaster.
3. Sans cares a lot about Papyrus, so he may have brought Papyrus along with him to see Gaster.
4. Using an Easter Egg I mentioned earlier, it's possible to obtain a "Silver Key" that unlocks the door to Sans's Basement behind the house. In here, there's Blueprints that Frisk cannot read due to the handwriting. As well as this, there's a broken machine hidden under a cover. One of the Gaster Followers says that W.D. Gaster was killed when he fell into one of his faulty machines. This machine may have been the one that killed him, and the handwriting would be unreadable as it could be written in Wingdings (which is just a bunch of characters).
5. Relating to 3, if Gaster actually lived with Sans and Papyrus, and worked in their basement, it'd make sense that Papyrus would naturally come along as it was his house.

Of course, these are just theories that I've gathered from information on the Wiki Page, but it's still something to think about.

 

It's actually more likely "Wing Din Gaster" due to the fact that 'Aster' is also a font type.
