Hello Wynncraftians!


I've come to you today concerning a problem that's been going on for quite some time now. If you do not know already, there was a video that was made as a joke concerning new Wynncrafters discovering old Easter eggs then posting them on the forums.

I had no problem with this video, I actually found it to be quite funny. But what I did have a problem with was how the community chose to use this video to make fun of brave new adventurers who have gone through the trouble to find a mysterious Easter eggs and posting them on the forums to share what they've discovered.

In Wynncraft, most NPCs refer to you as an adventurer. So why make fun of fellow adventurers for doing what the game is all about?We want to show the world that our community will support one another and encourage each other.

It just isn't right knowing that there are players out there afraid of posting their findings in fear of being bullied after posting the thread. This isn't just about nicefind.avi either.

If you put someone down about finding something that is considerably old, that's just as bad. What if they find something no one has ever seen before? We would never know. So please, I encourage you to congratulate players who dare to explore the vast expanses of Wynncraft!​

I guess I am not asserting my lurking hard enough.

 

People have stopped doing this for a good few weeks by now, if not a month, but it is still good to have this thread just in case any similar trends happen in the future.

More like 2 hours ago. It doesn't have to be just nicefind.avi either. Just making players' finds seem insignificant in general. And I am sure it will kick up again when Gavel comes and there are more players/things to explore.

 

Mhmm, like I said, I agree that this is a useful point for future occasions of these practices.

NiceFind.avi is being used WAY less then it was back when it first came out. And have you even watched the video? It's not remotely offensive since igbar changed it. Now it's "You found an Easter egg and that's really great for you... But guess what?! JOHN CENA!!!!"

 

They post the John Cena version just because .avi was removed. The meaning is still implied.

 

That's like saying If you take the 1 out of 10 it's still 10 and not 0. Because to the New person it's just a nice little "JOHN CENA" joke. And if the person who posted it is trying to be offensive, they are doing a very bad job.

 

I'm not trying to argue here. The point is, people need to be appreciated for finding something that they haven't seen before. Agree to disagree.

 

Not to drag this argument out any farther. But I just want to say that I am not disagreeing with you, I do think it USE to be a offensive thing. You just probably should of made this thread back when there were Atleast 5 .avi vids per thread instead of a small chance of there being just one.

 

I'm really enjoying seeing all of the vets make threads about sticking up for the "noobs" it's a great thing to have in a community!! To all of you players who are doing the bullying I ask you from the bottom of my heart to stop because it really doesn't do anything at all except make the person who made the thread feel bad. Just my opinion plz no hate

We're not trying to target anyone with this statement, but instead speaking for the General WynnCraft population.

 

There have been hundreds of these threads already, which proves kinda how rude people are.

And if gavel is coming out, wouldn't we want to attract the community instead of scaring them off? There are probably going to be a whole mass of easter eggs in gavel so you guys better shape up.

 

you know the old video with "but no one else actually gives a single shit" got removed and replaced with the jone cena part... if your new and you see this video its not offensive its just another jone cena joke
