Hating On Forums

I honestly don't have a clue why I originally wanted to make this thread, but I would like to share this message with the people on the forums. So recently, I was making a thread about the Old LE tower, and I wanted to tell everybody something that I found, "interesting". And of course, there were some people that didn't see it the way I saw it, and got a lot of hate from it. I didn't feel very affected by it, as it was their opinion on my thread, and I couldn't have changed their words and their attitude. So, I would like to make another thread, but this time, I'm not going to add anything interesting, but something that you should keep in mind.
Obviously, some people get mad over the stupidest things. But to be honest, everybody gets mad once in a while. For instance, the other day, I raged at some kid because while finishing the boss at ToA, he killed him when he was very low. So, I started raging, and typing some nonsense. But, of course, it wouldn't have affected me. This wasn't a very smart thing to do, as it could've led to him hating me for the rest of his life, or something else.
So don't hate, appreciate.
Some people on the forums post stuff that maybe you don't like. In fact, you might be cringing at what I'm writing right now. I bet you that you're about to click away from this thread. But besides the point, hating doesn't do anything but cause other people to hate you even more, and can lead BOTH of the people that were arguing, into some deep trouble.
Am I trying to show hate to the people that hate on other people?
No, I'm just trying to show why being negative towards people doesn't help. It simply creates a hating relationship between the people, who argue over something stupid.
What happens if people hate on your posts, or disagree with your opinion?
Simply try to ignore them. Like I said, it's their opinion. They can hate on anything that they want, but you aren't going to be able to change it. You can't make the Item Buyer give you a billion emeralds, just like you can't change people's minds.
I don't expect you to read everything, but if you do manage to read all the way down here, great!
Remember ONE thing, posting something negative to show how you think about something, isn't going to help. Like every single parent says, "If you don't anything nice to say, don't say it!" I hope you all learned something from reading this thread., Have a nice day!

Also another tip: If somebody says something bad to you, and starts a nasty conversation, always TRY to talk politely. They will someday stop talking, if you talk politely. Don't be like me, and gets mad over the stupidest things. It's not a nice thing to do! That's why, we should all change, it makes a difference!

 

I agreed with you, I don't like how people use "NiceFind.avi" on any new discovery thread. Like @IgbarVonSquid™ said "It can hurt people's feeling if you use "nicefind.avi" too much."

 

Well, Igbar does post somewhat comedic content. So.... Yeah. But I still find it pretty funny

 

I also found it very funny but use of "nicefind.avi" is too much on this forum

 

Everyone is allowed to hate but I don't think they need to say it.

I mean that there's no reason to hate, since it wouldn't change the way you think.

Very true, I can't have the ability to make everybody stop hating. It's just a message that might help deal with hating, and how it's practically useless.

 

I feel that a problem with the overuse of things like "nicefind.avi" in hate comments is that in many instances people try to be funny or smart with the prospect of getting likes. You'll find that hate comments occasionally do rack up quite a few likes, but it's at the expense of respect for the person posting the thread. Many people (not all, there are definitely lots of very respectful people out there as well) value cheap hate comments/phrases over respect, or at least that's my opinion.

 

It's definitely getting annoying, and it's used to diss people that talk about easter eggs. Therefore, they use it to create a hateful environment, showing they don't care about their thread. I agree with your opinion.

There will always be A-Holes and haters wherever you go, even if you post the most neutral thing people will hate on it ("I like apples" - "Screw you my grandfather died from choking on an apple! You're an insensitive piece of crap"). Just ignore the haters and let them get drowned out in their own hate. However, you shouldn't confuse "Hate" and "Constructive Criticism". If you ignore everyone who doesn't like what you say, then you lower yourselves to their level.

After reading the mentioned "Old LE Tower" thread, I can understand why you'd want to post something like this. You received an awful lot of hate for no good reason, but you should just ignore that. I don't know why, but people seem to hate the fact that people are finding easter eggs after the fall of nicefind.avi.

 

I agreed with you on that opinion, Nicefind.avi would be very useful at first for dissing someone's thread "Look! I found old easter egg". Now look at it, it is useful for someone who hates new discovery thread or decide that it is useless

 

This poll couldn't be more biased.

 

The way that they use it, is like: "Hey, I found a new dinosaur bone!"
Then, the other person says: "Good job, the museum has plenty of those. STFU!"
I just don't know why they hate you for finding something that not many people have done, or knew of. But to some people, they see it as something that everybody has done before, just like skydiving.

 

Ok, so since this thread is made obviously against me, since I'm the one he means when he talks about the old thread, he was talking about something everyone sees in deltas, and he thought it was interesting. Thinking about it now, I was wrong, and I should have respected your opinion.

This is why I try to refrain from hurting other people's feelings by using negative words. For example, there are many "I'm Stuck" threads out there, and all too often I see people reply to them along the lines of "this again?", "see the sticky noob", and "did you not read all of the other I'm stuck posts". It irritates me because the people are just asking a question, on how to get unstuck, and then they get upset from those comments. I don't like using sarcasm as a way to insult people, and thus I don't like it when others do exactly that. The forums nowadays seem to be getting a little corrupt, with many people having sour attitudes and depression on here. I'm doing my best to not become like that, but... I'd rather not get into that.

I'm starting to lose a little faith in the community, but I'm sure that we can change. We need to be aware of how we say things, what we mean, and how we would react if someone said those words to us.

 

I wasn't meaning to talk about you, I actually got this idea from somebody who mentioned how the Hypixel forums was very trashy, and how the Wynncraft forums should be different. But, it was nice for you to apologize. That shows how arguing would not solve anything, especially since you didn't make me turn any saltier, or say anything hurtful.

This was on the bug reports right? But the point is, that people sometimes post very common things, like stuck in a black wool room. It just gets annoying to people, but they don't really understand, that you can't control it. Maybe they tried reading other posts, but didn't learn anything from it. But yes, even the Bug Reports are even starting to heat up a bit.
