All These Events!

So the thanksgiving event was fun last night (kinda, I guess.) But the server was full REALLY fast and people couldn't join, 11 stopped working, we went to HUB3 and other things, but what I was talking over with a few people in a skype call, would be a private event server (not run by wynncraft) in which we can hold events, it will basically be like a hub of any actual server with gadgets and other things but also where Event Hosts can control the masses and other things.
This would be useful for multiple events such as;
New Years
St (Whoever)'s day
Easter
Thanks Giving
Christmas
Hanukkah

As well as many that I didn't list.
The idea of this server would be to allow people to play games and have fun at events, without stealing from Wynncraft, the server would ONLY be active to people when an event is being run.

 

Acually, there's small problem in that. recenlty, someone made Christmas ball and everyone decided it that it was "stolen" away from Pillowpet.

I don't see why that would be a problem. Ex. Pillow makes an event, and if a WC server gets full we just use a private server

This is actually a really good idea. Having a pocket server specifically made for event purposes would really benefit event hosts. With the Thanksgiving Ball, Hub 3 essentially became the event server seeing as hubs can hold a lot more people than Wynn servers. Maybe players could vote / staff could choose who would be the host of the event?

 

Yeah, I heard about that, The server would be used for people like PillowPet to host special events, without killing Wynns servers or filling them up like the ball did.

 

Great idea just one problem is Wynn going to fund this or will someone else fund the server?

 

Honestly; i might end up starting the funding myself and see if people want to help

 

You could ask for donations, but I doubt that more than 6 people are willing to donate money.

 

That is the problem, i would eventually have to make it into a server that literally ANYONE can join, and ANYONE can play games, and that isnt what i want, i can easily make the server; i have run multiple servers in the past, but i would have to stop with all the XP bombs on wynn as well as not doing a giveaway like Wynnter Wonderland again; the £300 going into that could run a server for 1 year... but people would rather have the GC and ranks...
