Sounds like a good idea :D but if you have @PillowPet ' permission for the idea and the name, you should edit that in the thread or change the name so people won't hate.

And I know it's sad, but Australia and Asia in timezones language are called the sleep time. So every event like this will have have to be at night for us. You're not the only one, I have that problem too.
Since you live in Australia I recommend you to search on Google "Australia to EST" and choose a good time.

Other then that, the idea is really good, and lets hope it'll get bigger on the forums, and who knows? Maybe we'll have a ball for every holiday

1. Pillow should be notified about this
2. ITS NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING. CHRISTMAS IS MORE THAN A MONTH AWAY.
3. You can't just copy off of someone else. This is the EXACT SAME THING as the Thanksgiving ball, with a few modifications (raffle items, Santa instead of King, etc) If you're going to use someone's idea, CREDIT THEM. the Thanksgiving ball just happened a few hours ago. I originally thought this was by Pillow when I looked at the recent thread thingy in the Wynncraft section, but it was you instead. Next time, actually change it a lot more.

I'm going to be up front and say this right now, that's bullshit.
You shouldn't need a certain person's permission just to host an event of the same kind, just because they did it first.
It's not Pillow's authority to decide whether this is allowed or not.
Nor is it Pillow's own private trademark in which others cannot infringe upon.
Sure, it's obvious that this "Christmas Ball" is all too similar to the "Thanksgiving Ball", but really?
That's like saying you're not allowed to invite friends to your birthday party, because someone else did it already.
Let people decide for themselves if they want to attend.

 

I think people need to stop complaining about how "This was copied from PillowPet's thanksgiving ball" (and who wouldn't want a baller party like that one?) and start complaining about the amount of "Housing" threads in general suggestions.

I'd say, add a bit of colour and flair to pretty up the thread and you'll have a good party planned!

What does me getting king have to do with anything?
And I just used caps lock as a replacement for italics, to stress a phrase, since it's harder to do italics on your phone.

 

Oh, I've been there.
Made an entire resource pack, in fact.
Worked on it for about two years.
But then, while working on it, and trying to finalize it, guess what?
The official resource pack is being made.
And unlike my pack, you are forced to use it or else you can't play.

Not too bad, right?
Why not apply for the pack job?

Believe me, I hate that feeling.
That feeling of having everything taken away from at the last second, while someone else gets the spotlight.
But for something as trivial as this, why give a damn?
The thanksgiving ball was a blast, and people had fun.
Deathmaster's just trying to host something similar in the future.

If you don't like it, don't attend it.
Stop making a huge deal out of it.

I wasn't making a huge deal. All I said was that you should probably ask pillow's permission and that we probably shouldn't go unless pillow says yes, out of respect for him. You are the one who started a whole argument and made it into a big deal. 3 other people said to get pillows permission and you didn't say anything.

 

I guess maybe I should have been a bit more soft with my point, because I agree.
Calling something bullshit would make it sound like an argument.
And I don't want to get heated over something like this.
But it's also in my opinion that this is not something to discourage others against about.

Sure, you may claim to not be making a huge deal.
But yet you keep coming back to prove that this is a copy, and that no one should care about it.
Well, why not just let people decide for themselves?
I still stand with the argument that Pillow holds no monopoly over the holiday-ball type community event, and that anyone can do it if they please.
But that's just my opinion. You have yours too.
