Rant: Zhight Island (warning Huge Block Of Text)

Just like to point out that any player that's at least level 55 has a >5% chance of being a noob.

Of course, I'm still 3 levels away from this quest but....

 

I didn't mind the traveling because I have way too much time in my hand although it did get very tedious and annoying quick, and the rewards did suck because of the low amount of emeralds and the Zhight potions in which I never used and by the time I remembered to use them I was really well off and didn't need them, potions in general are a bit slow when you are about to get killed and don't help you much even if it does your entire health bar.

 

A whole rant about Zhight Island, yet not complaint about those sheep in Maro Peaks?

 

Well, like, no kiddin there, fella. Those aren't sheep in Maro Peaks, sheep don't charge at ya. Them be rams. They like ta ram ya off the walkways an into the water, wherein ya got ta start over makin that long darn climb. Now thet ya no the differeance, whatcha got ter say fer yaself?

The length of the Zhight Island quest, and the uselessness of the reward, in and of itself, is pretty doggone silly. It may not be funny, at the time, but it certainly is afterwards. All that traveling, for a lousy 3 useless potions, and a handful of emeralds? In hindsight, this makes a perfect troll quest, and, to be completely honest, that's what I first thought of it the first time that I did it, "We've been trolled!" I got a good laugh out of it, as it is the only troll quest in the entire game, isn't it? Yes, that's what I thought. It is, and it's pretty darn funny, at that. So, if you want to complain, go ahead. Me? I'm going to just sit back, shake my head, and keep on laughing. My opinion of Zhight is this: Whoever thought of this quest was brilliant; they trolled every one of us, with the only troll quest in the game. Leave it alone and laugh at yourselves. Unless someone can prove me wrong, we were royally trolled.

 

Well tbh that was because I was using assassin when I did it which made it easy with the vanish spell but if you were an archer or mage you would be screwed

@Moe_Ronickah sorry I forgot to reply but tbh you can tell when something is supposed to be a troll quest or not, this quest has no signs of being a troll quest it is just one big useless and unfulfilling fetch quest.

 

If you look at the magical Wynnexcavation questline, and the time, effort, quality builds, and memorable NPC's and bosses, you really can't say the same for Zhight. As much as I love our GM's, I can't help but say that I feel that this quest was rushed. Empty and Rushed, which is a sad fate for a quest on such a unique server.

I'm just going to be straight-forward. Jungle Fever and Zhights Island pissed me off

 

I agree on the fact that it's forgettable and that the reward is horrible, but I disagree on your point that traversing the ocean is hard. I knew that the Icy Islands are directly east from Selchar, just like how Maro Peaks is directly north from the same town and Zight Island might be a bit tricky to find, but sailing around for a couple minutes will certainly get you there.
