Discussion Thread for Metroid​

Although some say Metroid might be dead, but I think its very much alive, as long as we keep it alive! Here is a place where we can chat, discuss, and share stuff about the Metroid Series!

I'll start us off, I personally think the new Federation Force might be a fun game! Even if it would be better without Metroid smacked on it, I am still going to buy it and probably enjoy it! Give me your thoughts on it

 

I haven't really been on the Metroid scene in a while, so i didn't even know they were gonna have a new game xD, but in all seriousness do you think they will ever bring back the Prime series or anything in that particular time frame?

 

well the new game is supposed to be a "spinoff" of the Prime series, but I sure do hope they make a true 4th installment

 

I guess no one likes metroid on Wynncraft :c

Metroid is love, metroid is life. I've played Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion through all the way at least 15 times each with two 100% clear times in Zero Mission, which I never used a strategy guide on. I've been playing Metroid since I was 8 or 9.

There may be very few Metroid fans on this forum, but I guarantee you I'm the most faithful Metroid fan.

By the way, what are your favorite games? Mine are Super Metroid and Metroid Prime.

 

oh, OH! finally another! I love Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Prime 3 Corruption! I am actually Binge playing Super metroid for the first time right now. I have played the origional metroid since I was 5, and I have played Metroid Fusion, all the Metroid Prime games, Metroid, Metroid Zero Mission, Metroid 2 return of samus, and Metroid Pinball (yes even that one)

 

Oh! Well, if we're going to talk about all the games we've played, I've played all of them excluding Metroid Other M and Prime Pinball (if that even counts lol :P)

Super Metroid was one of the later games I was introduced to in the Metroid francise - I started with the GBA games and then went to the Gamecube games. (I actually have some older Nintendo systems and a monitor - I play them in my bedroom) I played Super Metroid via a ROM emulation on my dinosaur-age PC. I have a Super Nintendo and I've been looking for a copy of Super Metroid for a reasonable price for a while now...

EDIT: Oh yes, and I only recently beat Metroid II - it was damn fun, interesting, hard, and definitely unique. I don't think I'd replay it though, it isn't quite my favorite Metroid game.

 

I have an NES that I play my Origional Metroid on, and a Gamecube that I play the first 2 Metroid Prime games on, I also Have a wii that has Metroid Prime 3 on it, and a Wii U with Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion on it (virtual console) Concerning the handheld titles, I have a gameboy color for metroid 2, a GBA SP that I play pinball on, and I'm trying to find a hard copy of Fusion for it, and I forgot to mention, I have Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS, but I play it on my 3DS, I am looking for an SNES to get a hard copy of Super Metroid though

Concerning my playthrough on Super Metroid, Right now I'm in the lower f-fa-far-fa-f the fire place... trying to find Ridley, I'm super excited for his boss fight! and then of course after that theirs the best boss fight ever, Mother Brain (yes, Ive been spoiled the outcome of that fight) But geez, that Draygon (I think, the water guy) was freaking hard. I kept getting grabbed by him, and didn't realize until my 10th try that you could destroy the turrets on the walls. I ended up scouring the map for hidden E-tanks. It took forever....

 

Hey, lemme give ya a tip - he was painfully hard for me too, until I discovered that if you let him grab you while you're on the left side of the room, you can use the grapple beam to latch onto a turret node and drain his entire life energy in a matter of seconds. You'll take minimal damage :)
