Ok, normally I never really have anything wrong with wynncraft and quests as most of them are creative and have proven to be lots of fun. The exception to this is zhight island. In this thread I will be talking about this quest I will try to add constructive criticism to it so that I will not just be a angry person talking about why this quest is bad.
Note: Just as a quick warning this thread will have spoilers about this quest

Ok first of all I'll start with a quick summary of what you have to do in this quest.
First, you travel to zhight island which in and of itself is annoying as you have to go across the ocean to get to zhight island, if you are not a master at cords then you are doomed. I suggest you use the wynncraft map to find zhight island if you aren't good at coords. After that zhight informs you that his island is running out of supplies because his supply man, Phief, hasn't come in a long time. He then tells you that he is probably at Mage island. After you travel about 1000 blocks via boat you find Phief, he informs you that his boat was taken from him and that it is probably somewhere north of mage island. You sail north and find a little villager named zirt. He says that it was actually his boat and that Phief stole it from him many years back. As for the transport you are let known that it is at Maro Peaks with Cysta.. I don't know you to spell his name so for the sake of this thread I will call him Kabab. You travel to the Maro Peaks about another 2000 blocks. Note, Maro Peaks is a huge place and it took me literally and hour to find him the first time I did this quest. You find Kabab and talk to him he gives you the supplies that were on the ship and then you go about another 3000 blocks to Zhight island he takes the supplycrate and gives you the reward for the quest. The rewards are horrifying, for doing all this you get 1/4 of your xp bar if you are level 55 and doing this quest. (Not this is not a lot as half of it is filled just by doing Wynn Excavation site C a shorter and more fun quest). And 42 emeralds, and 3 Zhight island potions that heal all of your health bar. Ok the summary being done and all of what you do I will say my problems with this quest (I Don't Know where this thread belongs mainly because half of it is just me saying what you do in the quest)

OK, Problem Number one: The amount of Travel done with this quest, Now I know wynncraft has a lot of traveling in it and that is a good thing generally speaking but when you have to travel the ocean a generally blank place with no excitement. The distance you have to travel for this quest is ridiculous as you quite literally make one big triangle in the ocean. This wouldn't be a problem if I really wanted to know the storyline of this quest but I generally wasn't interested. One way you could fix this, is just by getting rid of Kabab and let the little kid give you the crate that would make the journey smaller already by a bunch.

My second problem with this quest was the rewards it gave, I mean if you get half a level from doing a quest with less travel and that is very enjoyable then how come a quest that has a crap ton of travel and is not very enjoyable gives you 1/4 of a level plus some crappy rewards 42 emeralds is nothing at level 55 and Jungle fever where you essentially do the same amount of travel as Zhight Island, gives you one whole le a great reward! This is by far the easiest problem to fix as you would just have to fix the rewards by making them higher.

My third problem with this quest is how forgettable it is to me, when I do wynncraft quests I really love the characters they introduce and the stories they tell. But to be honest I just didn't care about this quest as all what it was, was a bad fetch quest. Wynncraft is my favourite server of all time It has great quests, great gameplay, and best of all easy to learn. But, when I played through this quest it just didn't seem very well good. The characters didn't pop out to me, they just didn't really add enough to anything to make me care about them. The only reason I did this quest was so that I can get 100% completion of wynn.

Now, I have said a lot of crappy stuff about this quest but I like to end things off on a positive note. This quest did have a piece of humor in it that made me laugh. As you know the person that steals the ship from Phief was a little child, but earlier he did mention that he was overpowered and couldn't keep the ship because his opponent was too strong. This part did make me laugh and I enjoy humor like this in quests.

Just one last thing, if you really liked this quest don't be offended, this is just my opinion. Also my grammar may not be on point so please do excuse me for any confusion or general unprofessionalness of this thread. I also love wynncraft so don't think this is me dissing wynncraft and saying that it is a crap shack I just want to express my opinion of this quest.

I honestly think the quest needs a revamp and adding more rewards to it; even if it was like 1EB its better than nothing.

I hated this quest as well. I just don't like these quests forcing you to travel around half of the ocean just for a measly 42 emeralds and some potions that you won't end up using because of life steal or mage heal. The reward should be buffed in my opinion and it should be easier to find Czystash.

I feel thesame about most of these.
I will quote Igbar on this: "Wynncraft never releases completed content"
I feel like this was thesame, they knew about this and wanted to get a certain amount of quests out for the ocean update.
Back in the day, the quests weren't as creative, and if you have a new area, it's a good idea to have 'something' that makes people want to go to the new area, and in this case, it was probably this quest.
This here probably explains your first issue.

The 2nd issue is different, I feel like the GM who made this thought the reward didn't have to be as high, since it's a fetch quest and there's practically no combat involved. A level 1 player could complete it, if a level 1 could start the quest.
He likely underestimated the struggle of finishing the quest, and thought the Zhight Potions would be useful. (Which they're not.)

For your 3rd reason, I'll somewhat look back at what I wrote first, saying they just wanted to get a certain amount of quests out, and this is probably the reason for the seemingly bad quality of the quest.

There is massive difference between a good and a bad quest, both in time spent to make it, and in the amount of fun they are to do.

I will guarantee you 110% that Gavel is not like this. The quality in for example the quests is higher than ever seen, and that's one of the reasons it's taking so long.
We want this to get done properly this time. No cutting corners.

(Even though I gave you what I think is the reasoning for this, I totally agree with you in what you say, and I feel like at least the reward should be changed.)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who dislikes this quest. The fact that I got lost in the ocean about halfway through didn't exactly improve my opinion of zhight island either...

To be fair I didn't really dislike the story, that part of the quest I didn't mind.

This is one of the cases where a quest needs to be easier, instead they made the mushroom man and the emerald maze easier.

Like everyone else, I agree too. If it wasn't for the combat and better storyline for the other quest (can't remember the name) where you go to Pirate Island and retrieve the Abysso Glauses (excuse my spelling), I would say the quest would have suffered for the same reasons as this one.

fedex quests should be disallowed to exist in games. If the quest is nothing more than "go here, then go there, then go back here" then it doesn't deserve to be a quest. At least some good story or some event in the middle of it would really help.

I actually think this is a good quest as compared to others it's easy, simple and not a major 'story' quest. I think of this quest as a break between major quests, for example before this quest was the infamous House of Twain and also the Jungle Fever quest that requires you to solve some mazes and puzzles. And after this quest is Wynn-excavation C the best story driven quest series. It gives players a relaxing time from between grinding and grinding they are given the incentive to do this quest and have the explore sections of Wynn they might not generally go to. Sure you'll get lost and become frustrated but this quest could be argued that it increases players familiarity with the whole map and not just the areas around Detlas and Troms.

Sure the quest rewards could do with improving for the amount of time you spend travelling. But following the logic that you guys have mentioned surely Tower of Ascension should be boring as well? I mean all you do is fight, fight and fight. Each quest is tailored to a players different play style, many players like to explore, others grind and some like the nether's pvp there are different activities to suite those different players.

Well tbh I never found this quest relaxing as I always had to check the map to see where I am going, and tower of ascension is not boring because you are actually fighting mobs. You have to be on your best guard otherwise you die, not to mention the reward is beyond satisfactory.

Alright, hold the phone everyone, I'm about to go full keyboard warrior about a quest that really isn't that special, yet in a way kind of is.
Honestly, I liked the travel in this quest a lot more compared to other quests with long distance travel. Let's say you need to go from The Silverfish Dungeon to Ragni. You gotta cross the desert, then either go through Almuj or go around the wall, then across the Savanna or go along the Black Road (both of which have mobs that just love to hit you around), then go through or around Detlas, through Nivla (which also has tons of mobs that love to get in your personal space) and then finally across the Emerald Trail and into Ragni. Basically, lots of jumping over uneven terrain and having to deal with mobs hugging you the whole way.
Comparatively, ocean travel is straight shot point A to point B, no mobs or uneven surfaces involved. I'll be the first to admit that boats are glitchy and annoying, but in a way that's part of the fun. Having to check the map to make sure you're going the right way might seem annoying to some, but to me it takes me back to noob days. Getting lost in the wilderness, not sure which way is up; it makes me feel like I'm on a brand new adventure and charting the unknown each time I do it.
Yes the rewards kind of suck, but did you really do any work? You compare to Jungle Fever and say they're virtually the same, but I would disagree completely. Sure both quests have a lot of travel time, but in one quest you're the oceanic delivery man, and in the other you rob a bank, traverse and deadly maze, and smooth talk a guy out of butt loads of money. You really can't compare them in that sense, I say the rewards are fine.
Well clearly not saying you wrote an entire five paragraph essay about it. I get where you're coming from though, it is just a filler quest, but it's a really good filler quest. It's nice to have a break from monster slaying and demon exorcising. It's not a bad quest in any way, it's just misunderstood :(

You provided a good counter argument for this but I will point out a few things. I mean getting lost in the wilderness may bring back memories to players like you but, you also have to think of players that are way newer to Wynn and expect some more guidance. Simply telling you all these places isn't really what I consider good either, I mean tbh if I wouldn't have done ToL as an archer before this quest came out then I would have had no idea what or where Mage island is neither mario peaks.

When you were talking about jungle fever I couldn't forget the fact when arriving in maro peaks there are level 58 ram's everywhere with access to a charge spell. When I did this quest with my assassin it brought me down half health if they hit me, plus the place might as well be a maze with how confusing it is for me atleast. I'm also not saying that you should get 1le for this quest I'm just saying to up the reward a bit. Like 16 EB or something like that.

Also when I think filler quests I think of quests that have some humor in it or are in general less annoying and more fun to do. I mean you could have a totally different opinion of what a filler quest should be and that's fine all what I am saying is that I did not think it was a very good filler quest. Well anyways that's my response to your counter argument.

Why do archers warriors and mages even use a boat?
The travel spell is perfect to use on water.
When i was going to the Wynnexcervation side C quest with friends (i was assassin) my friends (mage and archer) just spammed their spells and got like 8 mins before me at the quest. Easy fix for this quest is just making boats quicker or make something with them like the horses (lvling and get better once)
