To All Whose So Impatient About Gavel

It's pretty much triple the size of Wynn, so.. no. Look at Grian's video explaining Gavel.

 

I'm talking about the changes , I'm afraid people wouldn't like them ....

 

Dear gawd, this has been hashed over so many times. Can we please NOT go there again? From every Gavel teaser, and every live stream, Gavel looks to be an amazing change of direction, and very different mechanics, from the way Wynn is now. This hashing-it-out-before-we-know-what-we-are-talking-about really needs to stop. Only the GMs and the admins have enough information to really understand what is going on. THAT is the point of this thread, not I-want-to-complain-again. We can all be as afraid as we want to be about any changes we want to be afraid about. Guess what? That is part of human nature. It's also part of human nature to know that people who have made something so awesome in the past, Wynn, and all of it's updates, are working on something that they sincerely believe will be even better than what is here, now. And guess what? If something doesn't work, what do you think the staff will do? A) Laugh at the community, B) Ignore the problems, and just shrug, or C) Fix it!? I'll bet on "C". But you know what? It's not here yet, and the staff has been working on it all of this time! It's not like it's being put together like a paper that you had two weeks to write, and decided to push off until two days before it's due! So please, stop worrying and stop complaining and go back to waiting with positive expectations like the vast majority of silent players are doing.

First of all from every Gavel teaser , live stream or whatever is just glimpse of Gavel . The player could experience something entirely different . Second of all , how the fuck am i complaining ? I'm just worry the changes would just be too overwhelming . Yes there have been games and thing in the past that is ''awesome'' but once it was release , the thing was a huge cause of disappointment . Yes , a lot of work have been put into it but that doesn't mean it will be guanrateed to be good . Lastly , it always better to under expect thing in case it become a huge disappointment . The harder you hope , the harder you fall .

Conclusion : No , not saying that Gavel will be bad but it will always be better to not give it too much hope . Seeing is not always believing , experience are also at play .

I'm just disappointed that Grian and Salted decided to keep adding ideas, even though they were months behind schedule and the features they did originally promise weren't even started yet (Ex. Player Reset). This kills the community and people outside it too who are viewing Wynncraft for the first time because it shows that all they have delivered so far are empty promises, which kills their faith in how good the update will actually be. And be honest, how many games have you played that were in "early access" and came back to them again once they were completed? And just because they are adding ideas isn't making it necessarily better. It's a completely LEGIT reason that people may not like them compared to others, and ruin their experience. And if they have to add more and more features even after the update, it will be a bigger problems for the staff to maintain. Remember the 1.13 update? It took another month for all the features just to be implemented, let alone iron out all the bugs that came along with it and are still in the game. They said they aren't even addressing guilds until AFTER the update, which no one knows how long that would be since not even Grian and Salted know. So yeah, guilds were good at the beginning, but they ended up being broken and soon most people became inactive on them. So I wonder then how this, along with many other features, will go during and after the update.

 

Okay, I get it.
You have reason to be a bit skeptical.
After all, we have waited for almost a year, and there is little information about Gavel.
But I don't think looking at the situation so pessimistically is the right idea.
Even if this lack of information can be daunting, it also shows just how much we have yet to expect.
Keep in mind that this is a whole new province, 133% the size of our already gigantic Wynn province. (Minus the ocean, of course...)
Not to mention so many new features, a brand new resource pack, and a ton of new content to enjoy.
If they didn't meet the standard, they wouldn't had time spent on them.

I understand that this is a painful wait.
It hurts me too, trust me.
And that you're all still worried about what will happen to the other promises the team have made.
But they are certainly aware of it all. (If not, then they have no business making a game.)
They don't just sit back in their cozy armchairs sipping tea from beer cups while a f*ck-circle is gathering around them.
They're doing their best to make the game so that we, as the players, will find enjoyment in it.
Wasn't that enjoyment the exact same reason why we were so hooked on Wynncraft?

I don't believe that anyone is giving Gavel "too much hope". Every positive comment has come from, and is about, what we have seen or been told about the Gavel update. I have not seen even one person post anything about "hoping for anything" unreasonable about Gavel that was not based on information that we have been given.

The only thing anyone has been hoping for is that the release date of Gavel would be more easily predictable based upon the statements (predictions) by the admins. The admins are the ones who have been hoping to get Gavel finished by certain times. They are the ones who are hoping that they don't disappoint their player base.

YOU haven't played the Gavel update. NO ONE that has complained has played the Gavel update. The GMs have walked through every one of the new quests. The GMs and builders have seen every block of the Gavel province. Don't you think that they care about it enough to look at it with real expectations?

It's high time that posters stopped predicting gloom and doom, when you have absolutely nothing to base it upon. It's ridiculous, and it needs to stop.

 

That's right... People are like Wynn is doomed cause Gavel is bad/taking so long but it will be worth it!

 

I just hope that they will be a little bit quicker with fixing the bugs Gavel creates...

Just look at how long warrior was completly useless against bob...

 

According to my (unrefined, i'm not gonna bother to make sure it's correct) calculations it should take exactly 2,64705882352941 months if they are exactly at 85% at exactly 15 months at the time I posted this

Well, I do respect that they are trying for the update to be as complete, and to go above and beyond unlike most games. It's not that I'm not that mad about how long it as taken, just that I think it's a bit unwise for them at this point to try to implement new features. Overall, I do hope though that it will be worth it.

 

It's like creating another Wynncraft and combining it together with the one right now :^)

 

You are not allowed to say that it is a Gavel spoilers and I think you can get banned for saying that AND did you even read the Grian's stream's info box where he clearly said DON*T SPOIL ANYTHING OR GRIAN IS NEVER GOING TO STREAM AGAIN... PLZ don't take the streams away from us cause spoiling...
