As many of you who know me, I have been to Uganda for school trip. As I am on my 3rd and last year in our school, I am recquired to do a report on Uganda by choosing a topic of my choice. We are then given the opportunity to travel and visit our partner school in Soroti, Uganda. When we were in Soroti, we worked on doing our interviews, surveys and researches for our reports. One would think that we didn't have time to experience anything because of the school work we did. But I personally have never been so happy. My short time in Uganda has been full of life, happiness and satisfaction. The people were so welcoming that it wasn't difficult to make new friends at all. We spent a lot of time in their secondary school, there we had penpals. our penpals were basically our instant friends and their friends became our friends too. My days there were just full of joy, singing and dancing! There I've met one of the most genuine, selfless and talented people I know and I am glad to call him my friend. There I've met the happiest people. Even though they did not have much compared to me and the rest of my group, they have learned to accept what they have and kept on working hard for their future. There you will meet the most inspiring people that will encourage you to help in changing the world for the better and if not that, they will at least touch your heart and make you appreciate what you have. Within the two weeks that I've spent in Uganda, I am proud to say that there has been a change in my heart and mind. I've made many new friends that I know I will cherish in my heart forever. I have been so moved and inspired. For the longest time, I have been feeling lost. I did not know what to do with my life and in the future - I had no goal, no destination. But now, I know my destination. I know where I want to be in the future. And although I do not know which route I will take, I will see to it that I will reach my destination.

Though this trip has filled me with life and inspired me to the core, the trip has also been full of first times for me! We obviously didn't forget about safari trips and boatin' through the nile. I saw lions, elephants, girrafes, hippos, antilopes, and warthogs for the first time! Being in the savannah literally gave me Lion King feels! And I can't lie, I uttered this line more than once:

Uganda has served me the best sunrises and sunsets that I have ever seen. Almost every where I look, there was a photo opportunity. And speaking of photos, here are some of my favourites from the entire trip:

This trip to me was like a dream and I was forced to wake up from it. I really plan on going back there in the future and live one of my dreams once more.

This was an interesting read and an amazing collection of photos! I'm happy for you having such a great time and meeting all those amazing people, experiencing the simple yet fulfilling life and seeing the awe inspiring nature. These photos can only give us a glimpse of how beautiful a natural landscape can be. I also want to congratulate you for finding a life goal, even though it means you could be gone someday.

Its funny how some places in africa are like this, all happy and peace, and some are just full of crime, terror and violence.

Uganda has a high corruption rate. You'll notice that they write about how bountiful Uganda's lands are, which is true. They have so much to offer. But it all matters on who owns these lands.

Heh, we did get dangerously close. When we saw the herd of giraffes, we literally got off our safari bus to take a group photo with them in the background. We also got close to some lions but I didn't get to take a photo using my phone.
