My experience as a Trial Mod and A Promise to the Players of Wynn

Hello, this is Mular5, recent trial mod.
I felt like you guys would want something new from me, since i have been posting so many RECOVERED data files.
So over the past few days, i have taken snapshots of some of the things i did as a trial mod.
I didn't include snapshots of banning people because that would be kinda boring to show, right?
Also, i made sure no spoilers are in these snapshots.
So enjoy the photos!
The photos above show me, @PillowPet , @Shtafjord , and a few other people getting drink at nemract XD
Shtafjord used his scrambled egg mask, which was rumored to be a source of power the Chinese emperors of the 16th century to keep the power of breakfast close at hand. (don't take that too seriously XD)
So we all went to the Nemract Bar, Pillowpet served the drinks, and the rest of us got very drunk, i dont really remember the rest.
We did make a drinking tower though, it looks pretty cool.
Shtafjord also saw a skeleton with a scythe, its was probably nothing important.
WARNING, THIS POST IS NOT MEANT TO ENCOURAGE ALCOHOL IN REAL LIFE, but its fine in video games. I took a neat picture with a fan of mine.
He was very excited, as was I!
It was nice to have a photo with a fan.
Me and two other mods that i wont name out of respect decided to make a sheep tower and run to Ragni.
We got hit a lot, but i think we scared a lot of newcomers lol.
I would run too if i saw a giant sheep tower running toward me!
I was gonna go with cows, but i felt those were overused ;P

I also helped out a player known as Supergamer159, and told him how i got to where i was now.
It felt good to share that with another player.
Made me feel warm and fuzzy inside....in a good way.
For the first time ever, I TOOK OFF MY HAT!!!
It freaked the heck out of a lot of the players XD
I have always found it interesting how my skin can do this.
I have no clue if that was intentional or not, but it looks cool regardless!
Also, @Acer told me mods are required to take part in extreme banter, which i was happy to learn about!
Now for something i cant show, but im fairly sure i can discuss.
One of the GM's, I wont say who because they know who they are, went crazy with teleports and nearly crashed my game XD
So all in all, the past few days have been crazy, and i love it for that!
It truly is all i hoped for.
However, there is something i dont wish to experience alone.
The promise i made in regards to that is below.
THE PROMISE of Mular5
I thought about this for most of last night, and came to a decision.
I WILL NOT ENTER THE BUILD SERVER.
Now for most, this sounds crazy.
"Why would you want to not see Gavel"
I have a few reasons for this.
The first reason is that i made a promise to a friend.
The second reason is that i was told that entering the build server WILL SPOIL GAVEL.
But my third reason is one i have promised myself.
I understand the wait has been stressful for many players, and im sure some of you feel the mods know things that you dont.
It can feel....unfair.
I dont want to learn about the secrets of Gavel because i want to find them myself, with the community.
It would not be the same to find them with the mods.
I hope the staff understands.
Its not because i dont want to learn, its because i want to make sure both myself and the community have much to look forward to.

That sheep tower reminds me of my profile picture.... I just wanted to say you're one of the coolest people on the forums and I admire your dedication and coolness. Hopefully one day you become a real mod!

It's good to learn a little bit about what being a mod in a large minecraft server is like.

 

The first thought I had when reading your thread was that I didn't want you to see gavel. I was so relieved when I reached the end of your post. Of all the people I want to see react to gavel, you are the one I anticipate the most. I want you to be taken completely unawares. Thanks for being a cool guy!.. And congrats!

P.S. I know you guys would never try to keep someone from seeing gavel unless they did something REALLY bad.

We never did, remember?
We tried to, but things kept getting in the way, then you went afk.
Then some of us had to deal with hackers XD

I like that you are keeping yourself free of Gavel spoilers, it makes your files more genuine and closer to the players.

 

I think that what you are doing is very bold and very respectable. If i were in your position, i would not want to see Gave, either as it would spoil the fun of discovering it for myself. This is why i don't look at any of the sneak peaks :P. Congrats on getting mod by the way!
