Monsters: Vengeance And Wrath [rp] [character Applications Closed For Now]

Character Name: Haderyn
Monster: Velocidrome
Lore: I am a leader of a pack that is trying to find its way out of the Everwood forest. But every path the pack takes makes it seem like they are going in circles.

Raios

Finding more sticky surfaces, you realise that they are webs. The screeching gets louder. As you turn a corner, a strange bird creature, which you realise is a Gypceros, runs past the tunnel. It is immediately followed by an enormous spider, which you recognise as a Nerscylla.

Adawalae

You wake up... underground. You climb out of the ground and find that you were sleeping on the edge of a cliff. It seems that there may have been a way across, but there isn't any more. There is a tunnel, which may have been the way you came from.

A - Jump down the cliff (may cause injuries)
B - Go through the tunnel
C - Free choice

Haderyn

You wake up in cave filled with purple crystals and strange mushrooms which also glow purple. There seems to be only one way out of the cave, so you go through. Outside, you find yourself in the great Everwood. You see some vines hanging between a few rocks above you, and they seem to lead somewhere through the trees. You see another path which leads downhill and you hear some noises you can't identify from another path.

A - Climb along the vines
B - Go to the strange noises
C - Go down the downhill path
D - Free choice

Nerscylla (Lv. 1)

Health: 140

Defence: 20

Description: A giant spider-like creature which loves to eat Gypceros, which is where it gets its poison from. They are one of the major monster threats to the few creatures who are struggling for survival.

Positive Passive: Toxic Claws – 50% chance for attacks to give the deadly poison effect.

Negative Passive: Untoxicating – Loses its positive passive if its claws are broken. 10% chance for claws to break.

Battle Ability 1: Poison Slice – Swing through the air from a web, dealing 150% damage and giving the deadly poison effect. Cooldown – 3 turns

Battle Ability 2: Stab – Stab with your sting, dealing 10% damage and giving the sleep effect. Cooldown – 5 turns

General Ability: Sticky Trail – Leave a web on the ground. If a battle starts in 3 turns, the opponent has a 20% chance to receive a webbed effect.

Locations: Primal Forest, Everwood, Volcanic Hollow

Just remembered, you can use your general ability at any time. It sort of counts as part of free choice.

(For the first question, Velocidrome do, though they can actually jump long distances so they usually don't need to climb, though the forelimbs are so small they probably can't climb. They can jump over a house easily. Just remembered that you can actually copy and paste pictures, so I'll show you what they look like. For the second question, idk since monsters don't have names. I guess it sounds a bit like a medieval human name more than of a mythical creature but idk.)

Haderyn

Going downhill, you come across a small cliff which results in a clearing. There are strange red and black rocks in the clearing. Around the clearing are three Slagtoth (green herbivores, very common in tropical areas). There is another path on the other side of the clearing.

A - View Slagtoth's stats (doesn't use up hunger, you can attack afterwards)
B - Go back to the other clearing
C - Go down the path at the other side

(Basarios mainly eat ores but since their adult form, Gravios, occasionally eats meat then it is possible that Basarios does too.)

Adawalae

The tunnel leads steadily downhill, though not much. When you reach a small cave, you notice the bodies of some humans, possibly the ones who have been recently stealing ores from these caves. They seem to have come from a pathway to your left, which is blocked by rubble. Two more pathways lead off, one slowly turning left and the other going downhill again. You hear distant screeches from this path.

You let out a challenging growl and the Nerscylla turns towards you. The Gypceros hides behind a ledge.

-10 hunger (note that you can actually eat the a large monster 3 times after they die, plus a severed tail once if it can be severed. This means that you can refill your hunger pretty much straight after battle)

Why do I always find one of your RPs that has applications closed?

 

A. Initiate battle and then use leap to attack the slagtoth
(Leap should insta kill the slagtoth right? Because I normal do 30dmg and it only has 20hp and 5def. and using leap means I do ~90dmg? Also how much exp do we get normally from battles?)

 

Idk XD. I'll reserve you when I open character apps again (should be soon, since I always open them again once I've tested fighting. And by reserve, I mean that you can join at any time, even if apps are closed, since I'll have a space for you).

Haderyn

You let out a roar and all three Slagtoth face you (for some reason Slagtoth are really territorial and even attempt to threaten even the strongest monsters).

A - Attack (specify which Slagtoth: 1, 2 or 3)
B - Defend (if you want to defend against powerful attacks, I put this here just in case)
C - Dodge (same as defend, except this costs 10 stamina and defend only defends from 50% of the damage while dodging escapes the entire attack)
D - Use Battle Ability 1
E - Use Battle Ability 2
F - Flee (again, I do this just in case)

 

Okay, I use D, Leap on Slagtoth one I guess.
(So If I win this battle and kill all 3 does that mean I get to level up and 5+ xp?)

 

Claws

(Yep, the first few levels are easy. However, the monsters themselves go to the next level every 5 levels, and they level up more. Also, the gaps between levels become larger. To get to the next level, you need to get the same amount of xp as the number of your current level x10. Of course, harder to kill monsters gain more xp. Threat level 1 is 5, then 10 and it goes up in 10s up to 30 (unless there is a threat level 7 but I'm not sure there is)

Haderyn

You leap through the air and crush the Slagtoth beneath your claws and body, dealing 100 damage (leap op XD) and instantly killing it. Slagtoth 2rams into you with its horn, dealing 4 damage. The other Slagtoth seems to be drinking water.

You ram your head towards its claws but it braces itself for the attack. You deal 10 damage to the Nerscylla. For some reason, the Gypceros hasn't fled yet and is still hiding behind a rock.
