1.8 Sword Models.

Hello everyone!

Well i noticed a change in the models of the swords, blaze rod, stick, etc.
I think you hold them really weird now. I want to change them back to the old ones in my resourcepack but i cant find the old models that will work.

Resource pack won't effect the way you hold the item.

 

Just wait till 1.9 everything will be fucked up

well blocking is unchanged so nothing is really changed about that :(

Yes resourece packs affect the way you hold it, simplysarc made it so items were like a HUD if you hold a apple it could say in the top left something like PETS OFF. He explained that you could modify the area and the model, which means you can change it to anything you like. So you can change the way you hold it.

 

Changed the way it's held. Meric said it too.

 

Not to sponsor any server or anything, but have you seen Warlords on Hypixel?
They use a resource pack and the items you hold are completely different. If you press f3 h, you will see the actual item, and you look at the weapon, it''s completely different.
So, please, do explain why this doesn't work.

that might be because u have some old files in ur item model file

 

You can, depending on the way you model it. I tried to model a sword with MrCray's ModelCreator and I made the sword hold it like it was the Powerhand from Modular Powersuits.

 

Oh... So you think I meant with 3D modles? I meant WOTHOUT 3D modles
