Since 9/7 happened, I decided to start a new rp. But I've been too busy to post it so far. Now, I am finally ready to release this one. But this time it is different. The rp isn't set in Wynn. No it is not set in Gavel or even Dern. It is set in a completely different game: MH4U. I've wanted to do something to do with this for a while but as I said, I never got a chance. So, welcome to...

    Monsters: Vengeance and Wrath!

    ==========================================================================

    Lore

For years the humans feared us. The most powerful of monsters gained titles like 'The White God' or 'Wind Dragon'. But then, they fought against nature. They gathered the strongest together, who then, under the name of 'Hunters', slew many of us in thousands. Most of us have now been forced back into hiding. Slowly we emerged again but they still tracked down and killed many. And now, a new threat is rising. Monster fights against monster while the humans have started to make new, powerful weapons. You have lost everything dear to you and are on the run. Can you fight against this evil, which pretends it is a force of good? Or will you die in the mouth of an elder dragon? You're the one to get it done!

    ==========================================================================

But of course, you need the locations and the lore for them, right? I even made a map, which may not be accurate but there isn't a really great official map.

    Map.jpg

    Low level areas:

Ancestral Steppe - Vast, golden fields which lie below a vast mountain range and many great valleys. Many tell stories of a dark creature which hunts here, though nobody has lived to tell the tale.
Everwood - The largest forest in these lands, many different species come here. It is rumoured that the paths shift and turn all the time, though it is unlikely.
Primal Forest - A lush swamp just west of the Everwood and east of the Volcanic Hollow, it has many different environments. A gigantic skeleton of a large elder dragon crowns the hill in the centre.
Frozen Seaway - A frosty coast where the sea has frozen, allowing you to travel to nearby islands. While it used to be thought of as a legend, it is confirmed that a Kushala Daora lives here, as one shed its skin on the small peaks along the coast.
Volcanic Hollow - A large volcano on one of the headlands. Many rare ores are found here but there are many dangers, both living and not.
Heaven's Mount - The large mountain range in the north-east, many large and powerful monsters live here. However, dark omens are showing up more and more, with monsters going berserk and the sky darkening. Yes, I think you know what has happened...
Dunes - A sandy area with an underground network. Many creatures here hide in the sand most of the time, but beware the night...

    Towns (sort of medium level):

Val Habar - A merchant town on the edge of the desert, it usually moves around and makes deals with villages. However, some monsters have caused it to stop between the Dunes and the Great Desert, where it is hard for any creatures to reach it.
Harth - A mining town located in the coastal caves between the Primal Forest and Volcanic Hollow, this place is known for great inventions, from weapons to ships to... well, lets find out!
Cheeko Sands - A small Felyne Settlement in a hidden cove. A small army of Palico Troops is forming here.
Cathar - An ancient mountain village whose people tell legends filled with mysteries.
Dundorma - A huge citadel on a hill to the west, the edge of the Great Desert has been turned into a graveyard as many monsters were slain in ancient times. Now the graveyards are bursting their banks with corpses of the fiercest creatures.

    High level areas:
The Great Desert - The largest part of the land, this desert is only home to a few species. However, one very dangerous species is helping monsters to cut off trade routes and make assaults on Dundorma and Val Habar.
The Sanctuary - An elder dragon nest which was sealed long ago so an ancient 'curse' could never be unleashed. But the seal was recently broken by something unknown and a Calamity is coming...
Ingle Isle - A volcanic island very close to Volcanic Hollow, many violent creatures live here.
Polar Field - An large iceberg lies to the far north, and many creatures who go near it vanish.
Speartip Crag - Strange noises come from this mountain, which is next to Heaven's Mount. Nobody has any ideas of what is causing it, but it seems to be even more derelict than the rest of the mountain range.

(XD. Well since decides what will happen to you, then random things are going to happen to you... wait that's what happens in rps. Btw, was that name just a random name or was it meant to sound like basarios?)

    Raios

You wake up... in the ground (Basarios sleep in the ground with their backs sticking out). You climb out and look at your surroundings. You are in a cave lit up with the lava from further down a tunnel. The smell of ore comes from this cave... is that coal you smell? Your favourite! You hear the distant sounds of a screech from another tunnel.

A - Go down the tunnel which smells of coal
B - Go through the other tunnel
    C - Free choice

(Btw, I forgot to put something else on the main post: stats (going to put them on now). Health, attack and defence are obvious but all monsters have the same stamina and hunger. Health regenerates by 5 outside of battle. However, you gain 20 per turn if you are sleeping. Health and attack go up every time you level up. Stamina, on the other hand, is only gained by sleeping and doesn't go up in levels. Stamina is required to use abilities and you have 100 stamina. 20 is required for using an ability. To regenerate it, you need to sleep. You gain 10 for every turn sleeping. Hunger is completely different. This goes down by 10 every turn and there is 100 hunger, just like stamina. However, you lose 20 health per turn if you get to 0 hunger. Hunger is replenished by eating food... which in the case of something like a Basarios or Gravios is ore. Which is great if you are in Volcanic Hollow (and food replenishes by 30 per food eaten) but Basarios and Gravios don't eat meat. That means that other monsters can eat things they kill while Basarios can't. But hey, it's easier to find ores than meat.)

Going down the tunnel, you can see the light from the magma getting closer. On the side of the path, you see a patch of ore. It seems to be only iron, but at least it's something.

    -10 hunger

A - Eat the iron ore and continue
B - Continue down the path
    C - Turn back

You eat the iron ore and suddenly feel slightly stronger. Heading further down the pathway, it opens out into a large cavern. Further down the cavern is lava, though there seems to be ways leading through it. You see lots of ore everywhere. There is another path leading into the upper caves but in a different direction. You notice the coal on the side of a cliff. A Gravios seems to have found it already and is eating it.

    +20 hunger

A - Talk to the Gravios
B - Try to attack the Gravios (not recommended yet, they are basically adult Basarios and are a lot stronger)
C - Find a safe path through the lava
D - Follow the tunnel to the upper caves
E - Go back through the tunnel you came through
    F - Free choice

The Gravios says, "Oh, a Basarios! I guess you want some of this coal. I'm not going to eat all of this so I guess you can have some of it. Also, if you want me to, I can give you some information about this part of Volcanic Hollow.".

The Gravios says, "Well, the area we are in now is far away from Harth and their mines, so we don't run into hunters much. However, they are slowly coming closer as they search for more minerals. Also, some dangerous monsters are starting to appear. I saw a Tetsucabra deep in the caves. If it eats the fish which live in the water near the powderstones, it might drive the other monsters towards Harth or the desert. Of course, I wouldn't advise you to go there right now, as they and many other creatures down there are very dangerous. The upper levels of the tunnels are mainly inhabited by Ioprey, though Nerscylla and Genprey are also starting to appear near the Primal Forest. If you want to escape before the miners find places like this cavern, then you could go to Primal Forest and from there to the Everwood, though it is your choice. You could stay here, as some monsters are starting to join forces against some of these enemies. If you want to find them, I would suggest to go into the upper caves, but don't go too near to the surface. Many of our kind have joined them and so have species like the Kecha Wacha and Gypceros.".

Well, it's actually less complicated than the other rps I've made. Most of the main post is the classes, and in other rps I didn't really have classes. Then status effects are reborn here, with slightly more. Then there are lots of locations.

(XD. Well, I couldn't make it too UP. Still, if it gets annoying in battles, I might nerf what it does/buff the amount players have)

    Raios

You eat some of the coal, which tastes delicious. You accidentally release a cloud of gas while doing this (I don't know about Basarios but Gravios actually do that after they eat. And since they are technically the same species, I'm making them sort of the same). The Gravios continues eating the coal.

    -10 hunger
+50 hunger (yep I'm buffing the amount food gives you to 50 hunger. Still, this only changes things when you lose lots of hunger)

A - Go back through the path you came
B - Go to the upper tunnels
    C - Free choice

(But how do you grab them? (Basarios only have two legs and wings))

    Raios

Heading into the upper tunnels, you start to see less signs of ore, as you might expect in somewhere with lots of ore. The tunnel splits off. One path starts to go down again and you see the light from magma. The other one carries on going steadily upwards.

    -10 hunger

A - Go through the lower tunnel
B - Go through the upper tunnel
    C - Turn back
    D - Free choice

Following the tunnel further up, you start to hear a shrieking sound followed by a scuttling sound. You aren't sure because of the light, but is that sticky stuff on the walls webs?

    A - Investigate the sounds
    B - Turn back
