Will Gavel Change The Whole Game?

First off, no, this is not a theorizing thread or anything. I just want a few simple questions answered.

I am planning on doing a Wynncraft play-through for my YouTube channel, however I don't want to start it if the Gavel update will change early game mechanics such as classes and quests.

How do the new classes that are being introduced work with all the previous data? Do you have to start a new class? Are all your other characters erased? Or just transferred to the the most similar class?

Or am I completely not understanding the Gavel update? :P

 

Classes will stay the same, meaning any class done progress on have the same data.
The item system (mostly weapons) will change alot, so on that part i suggest waiting until gavel is released.
Gavel will have a way to reset classes, but i'm not sure if u require anything to do it (not sure if there are a level requirement either)

 

Well, the fact that it's been almost a year and still not finished might give you a hint about "Will Gavel change the whole game?" thing...

You will have an option of rseting your classes after the update. So you can go with the new story.

To answer your question, yes, in every aspect of the game; in-game cinematic, main storyline, an overhauled item system (38+ IDs & boosts, lore, elements, 5 kinds of powders, each with 6 tiers, Set Armor pieces), a new province that more than DOUBLES the current content & is 33% bigger than Wynn, 50+ quests, raised level cap from 75-100, new quest mechanics (multiple-choice quests), and a BOAT LOAD of new features not even revealed yet! So yeah, I think it DEFINITELY is a whole new game.

 

Did you get that multiple choice thing from the Iron Heart video? It has been said many times that the ending was made open-ended so you wouldn't be spoiled by the true ending. And where did you get 38+ IDs from?

 

Ok, sounds awesome! I can't wait to play it... even though it might be a while before it comes out :P

 

The only things you currently have which will change are your armour and weapons, because of new elements and identifying. Classes will be able to reset in the Gavel Update, though it is unknown how this will happen.

 

That's what I meant by from the Iron Heart video. In Gavel Teaser #13, Salted stated that there were going to be 38 IDs, which is why xp bonus is going to be more rare. It was in the later pages, though I can't remember the page #.

Yes i meant to ask if somehting more was said, well if say we get 5 our of 38 ids on an item, that seems awesome, but if it's just 5 out 8 or something, it's kinda boring.
