Gavel 3d Models.

There are a few reasons the 3D models are being used. One is that a resource pack is being used anyway, you might as well utilize it to its full potential with proper custom blocks and weapons. Also, ask any GM and they'll say that the models are extremely useful and very helpful for producing original ideas. Trust me, when people see the RP with Gavel, jaws will drop and hearts will beat two times faster.

What (I think) Grian ment is that there has never been one large release of new content in one place at one time. It has either been a revamp of the province (which, don't get me wrong, was a pretty big and impressive task) or the ocean (which was cool, but there was more water than islands)
When Gavel is released, all the content will be there, along with SO much new stuff. I think it'd make more sense to push on to make new content than release it in gaps (constant server updates, which I know everybody hates with a passion) and, also, never getting the full thing puts some players off. Better gain (and bring back) players after a wait than lose some because of frequent map updates*. It is an awesome project and, trust me, well worth the wait.
Also, although 3D models may not sound (or look) exciting at first they are much much cooler when you have the RP and are playing in it. The models really add to immersion.

*And as a side note this would be really hard for the content team. Imagine telling them "Great! We want that quest/building but you can't start work on it until this date. If you do players will see unfinished content and you'll be revealing features too soon."

 

Well as Crack-Head an I were saying, they could add a 2D resource pack for people that dont want 3D or 3D is too laggy, that way you dont miss out on the amazing weapons, although I think if that were a thing it would be after the Gavel update, because then we don't have to wait ages if we cant use 3D textures/want them

 

That's like asking why I need an overclocked devil's canyon. Because why the heck not.

nah man you are taking it too far. even if you know just little about how pixel art looks in 3d you wouldn't post this thread because weapons looks really awesome when it is pixel art is 3d modeled.

so @Cubie is right because some 3d texture packs really take big place on computer that is why it lags but I tried 3d texture packs with included weapons(weapons will be designed mostly in wynncraft) and it didn't lag a little bit

I now feel a bit better about this 3d modelling thing so thanks!! The idea that you can toggle 2D and 3d models is a great idea for lag and for people who don't like the 3D models!!
